“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.” –Bernard M. Baruch
11 unforgettable months that evolved in 25 episodes over 20+ platforms and over 40 countries, with 16 phenomenal guests and YOU ALL.
Kalimat كلمات podcast Season One has taught how relatable our personal journeys can be and sometimes, even connected.
Throughout the season we learned and explored interesting and unusual concepts from our guests on their Journey to Self - discoveries, awareness, and developments — rethinking and self-reflecting on our physical, mental and spiritual well-being. We focused on voicing out whilst “feeling’ the emotions by asking questions that lead us to understand ourselves better for the future.
We can’t wait to shortlist our potential guests for Season Two and continue to bring you the stories of imperfectly perfect, improbably possible, and lively lives of people on ‘The Learning Curve’, making you feel at home every time you stop by for a cup of coffee at Kalimat.
A Big Thank You for tuning in to our first season of the show and celebrating this much special moment with us. It's been a beautiful journey, and we're excited to see what the future holds.
Special thanks to the family and friends for their endless support, courage, and love. People who are loved correctly, nurture aptly.
In the meantime, we request you to leave us with a review, comment, and support our YouTube channel by following, subscribing, and sharing Kalimat with your family and friends.

"Every story I weave together or lovingly transcribe is like a katana forged in fire and ice; stories are meant to be relied on for life." Stories embody our existence: happiness, tragedies, solace, heroes, villains, and poetry. May the flame of storytelling never extinguish." –Komal Salman
Our guest on the last conversation of our first season is none other than Komal Salman, the founder of Folkloristan, an international digital storytelling platform dedicated to history and culture.
She graduated from NUST earlier this year with a bachelor's degree. Her professional background involves graphic design, data visualisation, and digital illustration. She currently works in the niche of tech policy as the Advocacy Lead for Web 3.0 at the Islamabad Policy Research Institute.
In this episode, Komal joins us to talk about her journey, which began with collecting around 100 stories from Twitter and finding funds to publish her first official website.
She also shares the depth of her self-discovery and creative imagination, as well as her opinions on professionalism, calling it both an artist's best and worst friend. She also reveals her lessons from 2022, the learning process, unlearning and relearning, and much more!
Keeping culture and society a part of our conversation, we briefly discussed the importance of faith for children from a sociological and philosophical view and whether we should engage in selective activism while coexisting.
Komal's crucial statement that "history is always written by the winners" and that to have a truthful point of view on any historical event, you need to learn it from all angles represents her shift of perspective on history curriculum in Pakistani schools.
Make sure to listen to the entire episode because Komal's wit and humour makes it all more interesting and enlightening to learn that women should be able to discover and explore the creative mindsets that thrive and inspire them to embrace the power to fully express themselves through art and storytelling. Please enjoy! And a huge thank you to Kalimat's listeners! We're not done yet; stay tuned for the spectacular finale soon!

"Music for me is like snorkelling in shallow water—you get carried away into a different dimension unlike your own, yet aware and alert of your reality, keeping a good harmony between the two, and swim along with the melody." Tom Borah
Tom Borah is an enthusiastic, self-taught musician and media professional from Bangalore, India. With a variety of musical influences, such as rock, pop, and metal, he covers anything from a love ballad to high-pitched classic rock, or from guttural vocals all the way to a lullaby, sending us to sleep—no joke!
In this episode, Tom joins us to talk about his journey, the role of music and influence in his childhood, the discoveries working with musical bands and live performances, the harsh realities of creating music and monetising an artist's passion, and, of course, how can we not talk about love with something as wistful and dreamy as music?

Heal Yourself on the Journey of Healing Others.
"When life doesn’t go as planned, it is absolutely fine to take a step back, relax, reflect, and come back stronger." Margaret Lobo Fialho
Our guest for today's episode is none other than Margaret Lobo Fialho, who is an American Board and Al&Co Certified Neuro Linguistic Programming - Life Coach and Master Practitioner, Specialising in Timeline Therapy - helping people in building relationships, and self-confidence, setting goals, managing anxiety, dealing with emotional baggage, and much more.
Recently, Margaret suffered the loss of the most important person in her life, her father.
This podcast will talk about how she heals from the grief of losing her dad while healing other people, taking time out to address her own personal grief, which she says, "My healing is essential to continuing to help my clients. I should always prioritise myself so that I can come back stronger and help people better."
While the loss is inevitable and permanent, it affects everyone differently in terms of how long it takes to come to terms with it. Moreover, research points to three universal human rituals—letting go, self-transformation, and honoring—as strategies for assisting us in adjusting to loss, which is what Margaret explains how to use in this podcast.
Developing emotional acceptance depends greatly on honouring a person's memories. When dealing with grief, it can be helpful to recall and cultivate the positive aspects of the loss rather than downplaying your experience, which is what helped Margaret heal and is something she often advises her clients.
This podcast will take you through the twists and turns of human life and the ups and downs of emotions.
Please listen in and get ready for this tear-jerker of an episode, and grab yourself some tissues.
This insight into the life of a life coach is something you don't want to miss!

“Poetry for me is like living in a cave; cutting my nerves, breath and shadow. I would want to come out of it at times and then go back again. It’s a perpetual cycle of scratching myself” — Komal Bukhari
Komal Bukhari, one of Pakistan's most beloved and cherished feminist writers of the modern era, is a poet and a social activist with a background in social sciences and liberal arts. Her poetry explores themes of injustice, existential crises, self, and theology, with the aim of reimagining society and presenting a free world that gives voice to unsaid thoughts and feelings.
A sensation of belonging; for many of us, her writing seems like "home" She recently had her book published in an anthology called "A Mosaic of Musings" and her poem was featured on BBC Urdu. Komal joins us to discuss the process of creating the poems, her thoughts on writing, the publication of her first book, and what gives her poetry more depth, childhood, love or pain and appreciating those who have inspired her.

"Every morning, I remind myself that my life's purpose is to make a positive impact on the world. And it's worth it."
A journey of self-discovery does not happen overnight. Even though it looks unclear, everything is the result of a long time of thinking and hard work to make the most of life.
On the podcast, we enjoy highlighting personal stories, which may be useful as an insight into how others among us live a more fulfilling life and to learn how, we chatted with our guest, Saleem Kazmi - An International Certified Life Coach and Timeline Therapist.
He joins us for a passionate discussion about his life's journey in an effort to help others make sense of theirs by establishing a connection with themselves, reflecting deeply, and being more self-aware.
