The practice of mindfulness has become a full fledged industry today in the West but many are confused by what it actually is. Join us as we deconstruct mindfulness and dive into the depths of what it has to offer.
What is my purpose? What brings meaning to life? How do we derive our sense of values in life? Can meaning, purpose, and value be found in the more material aspects of life or are these only fulfilled in the more spiritual realm? Is the attainment of an award really the highest pinnacle of ones purpose? In this episode we discuss these questions and try to get to the bottom of the philosophical concepts of meaning, purpose, and value. Although similar, these three concepts have subtle differences that can bring about profound difference when arranged in different ways. Join us in this episode as we deconstruct the nature of value systems themselves.

The term "self-care" is used so ubiquitously today that it has become a catch-all phrase loved by marketers to appeal to the desires of the consumer to feel better. Maybe we already have all the tools we need within ourselves to administer our own forms of self-care. Join us in this episode as we discuss the modern day notion of "self-care" and the consumerist culture that has developed along side it.

Is there anything we can do to combat this and regain control over our lives? Join us in this episode as we discuss our challenges with social media and some tips and tricks we have found for regaining control over them.
What does it mean to be independent? What does it mean to be dependent? Is one way of being better than the other?
