Every great design process begins with a dream — sometimes the wilder, the better.
This week on Unapologetically Epic, I’m diving into why your wildest visions matter, how iteration is essential, and why unforgettable brand experiences always begin with a little dreamer energy.
Did you miss me?
We’re back—back to school, back to the basics, and diving headfirst into the fundamentals of the design process. 🎒✏️
I’m breaking down the three core parts of my process (spoiler: they’re probably yours too). But here’s the kicker—process shouldn’t box you in.
✨ Iteration is the magic.
✨ Pure creation is the rebellion.
✨ And both are the antidote to the sea of bland, copy-paste sameness out there.
Because let’s be real anyone can follow the steps. Epic work comes from breaking them.
How do you raise the next generation of creators and artists in a landscape of over saturation of swappable visuals? This week on the pod, we’re diving into that question—and where AI fits in the creative process.
I’m craving a return to the magic of the creative bubble of the ’90s. A return to something slower. More tactile. where imagination wasn’t optimized for engagement.
Let’s talk about how we protect and nurture the analog roots of creativity in a digital age.
In this industry, where we move fast, build big, and chase bold ideas what stays with you isn’t just the final design. It’s the people behind it. The ones in the brainstorms, the build-outs, the late nights. The ones who help shape vision into something real.
It’s never a solo act. It’s human. Messy. Beautiful.
And sometimes if you're lucky you get the right people in the room at the right time. That’s when the magic hits. The laughs, the lineage, the people behind the process.
We lost one of the greats this weekend, but his legacy is carved in all of his hard work. Rest easy, we'll keep shaping forward.
I grew up with a flashlight under the covers, reading Goosebumps and whisper-watching Are You Afraid of the Dark? — and I didn’t realize it then, but those “scary stories” hey were my gateway into suspense-building, and environmental design.
In this episode of Unapologetically Epic, I reflect on how childhood horror lit the spark for my creative career — and why the monsters we meet often hold the keys to authenticity, voice, and creative courage.
👻 This is for the weirdo and the storytellers.
Today’s episode is a love letter to imaginative play — not the kind we box up when we hit adulthood, but the kind that fuels billion-dollar ideas, midnight art projects, and yes, even emotional breakthroughs.
I’ve seen it in my work as a Creative Director, and I live it daily as a parent. Whether I’m pitching a campaign or building cardboard worlds with my daughter, I’ve realized one thing: imagination is not optional. It’s your most undervalued creative tool.
And that’s exactly why I created Construct — a toy designed not to tell kids what to build, but to ask them what’s possible. In a world obsessed with outcomes, play is the process that unlocks everything.
The Jaguar Dilemma: Legacy, Luxury & Reinvention
In this episode, I explore Jaguar’s bold rebrand—from the striking new ads and logo to the electric vehicles redefining its future. As a lifelong lover of British design and automotive storytelling, I unpack what worked, what missed the mark, and why emotional connection should always remain at the heart of a luxury brand. We dive into the tension between legacy and modernization, artistry and innovation, and the deeper power of soul in brand storytelling.
In this episode of Unapologetically Epic, we’re diving into what it really means to design with authenticity. Authenticity in design isn’t about moodboards or aesthetic trends—it’s about alignment. It’s the intersection of who you are, what you believe, and how you express that through form, function, and feeling. Design has always been a language. But the real magic? Is you.
"They Will Never Go For It"
What is creativity really meant to do? In this episode, we explore the true role of the creative — to challenge, to stir, to disrupt, and to move people. We discuss my idealistic belief that design has the power to change the world, not just visually, but emotionally and personally.
We also unpack the labels creatives often carry — too much, too ambitious, too emotional — and how to strip them away. At the intersection of motherhood and leadership, I share how nurturing my teams and my daughters is about helping others embrace their worth, take up space, and push creativity further.
This one’s for every creative who’s ever heard, “They’ll never go for it.”
Go anyway.
LET”S GOOOO!!!
Let's talk about the fundamentals of design and how to utilize the tools at our disposal to become stronger visual story tellers. There has been an interesting pendulum shift in how we value design and designers- let's dive in.
We are back baby. Join me this season as we unleash the innovative disruptor inside you. Let’s create something that changes everything.
This season we will dive headfirst into the weird, chaotic, and beautiful reality of being a designer, a creative director, and a human—navigating the madness, making waves, and embracing the unknown.
Because let’s be real—we’re all a little lost.
Let’s create something that changes everything.
This is the discovery process of 2025. 🚀🔥
unapologetically epic season two wrap up- and thank you- from the bottom of my heart thank you for listening for engaging and for your support. Every dream needs a team- today we talk about my love of F1, Lewis Hamilton and what "finalization" means in the design process. We also take a look backwards in order to move forward; the role of a creative director, being the change you want to see in this world, my first special guest, the art of more, creating a legacy, playground dynamics and the agency life, beyond the creative execution, authentic brand activations and manifesting dreams, being a mother in the design industry, saying goodbye and shifting through the graveyard, my love of bluey, balancing institutional restrictions as an artist, the art of presenting, leaving my job of almost 10 years with endings suck, the creative pause, the NEW NEW, Modern Renaissance and finally Pin It. It feels surreal to end a second year but here is the take away- creative will prevail, new life is the most incredible thing, saying goodbye is hard but needed to grow, and to always dream the impossible.
Cheers to all- see you in 2025
Today we are diving into Pinterest and why it is such a great source of inspiration. We break down the predications of 2025- Choas Cakes anyone? And even talk about smashing design boxes we might find ourselves in- and the use of AI.
Today, we’re diving into what it meant to be an artist during the Renaissance and exploring how artists and designers are shaping what I like to call the Modern Renaissance. How are we, as creatives, impacting the world and influencing culture? What is our role in crafting cross-disciplinary ideas, driving communication, and storytelling, all while solving complex problems and balancing aesthetics?
Let’s also take a moment to uplift and celebrate those who strive to push culture forward and embrace the journey of becoming an artist. Together, we can honor the power of creativity and its ability to transform society.
Embracing the NEW NEW.

Today we explore why as a creative reinvention of yourself and of the landscape you find yourself in is so imperative to growth.
My thoughts on my first intentional Creative Pause. How it helped me regain a little bit of what I lost and how I find comfort in the discomfort of a new new everything.
Every great story must come to an end...
