James grew up in Trowbridge, Wiltshire and played cricket with his three brothers as a youngster and ended up going to play at his local club. He still loves the game as much today as when he first started playing but sees that money and time have become prohibitors to people to getting into the game and he wants to do something constructive to address this: hence starting Community Cricket Enterprise where the focus will be on shorter format matches for kids and adults, costs will be kept low, coaching approaches will use the likes of baseball to help kids learn to hit powerfully and in control, and where the importance of human interaction and connections will be central to it.
