HOW I OVERCAME THE 'THOUGHT' OF NOT BEING GOOD ENOUGH - MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

I have gone through a phase in my life where my constant thought was ‘I am not good enough.’ Maybe based on the fact that I was body shamed in my teenage years, so it really affected my self-worth, morale and self-esteem.

It became a mindset for me, which was starting to affect my career, academics, relationship and ministry. But you know what? I had to challenge the thought; I had to break free from such negative mindset.

There were some things I engaged myself in, which I have shared in this podcast. If you have ever been here, oryou are here or you know someone going through this as well and you want to also break free from such negative thought about yourself, do well to visit the podcast through the link below.

If you also want to order my e-Book 'Single by Choice; Ready for Romance,' as talked about in the podcast, do well to click the link below.

What Changes will you Experience in your Body as you Grow?

I once watched a movie where a teenager who just got into the junior secondary school on her first day started experiencing discomfort in her body that she thought she had peed on herself.

After the break session, she didn’t go back to class with her classmates instead, she dashed to the toilet to  clean up herself, at the end of the day, it was discovered that it was her first period (menstruation) and she didn’t even know what that was, thank God for her other female classmates who had passed through that stage, they were the ones that helped her.

In my head, I was like, is there no female figure to explain this thing to her? How about the teachers in her primary school? At least, when a child gets to basic 6, they should begin to chip in the orientation of Puberty to them.

So, this is what led me to talk about some of the physical and emotional changes a teenager will experience as they grow into an adult in this week’s podcast.

Why You Shouldn't Crush on Anyone?
If you are crushing on someone. You are normal! as a teenager, if you tend you like someone of the opposite sex at this stage of your life, there is no crime in it, in fact, you haven’t done anything bad likesome persons make you feel. It only becomes bad when you allow your emotions make you compromise instead of using wisdom. Like the scriptures says wisdom is profitable to direct. Ecclesiastes 10:10BDo you know that having a crush is not bad but if not handled properly, it can be distracting? Especially to you as a teenager. So, this topic of having a crush as a teenager really is an interesting one on its own. The strange thing that usually happen, not 100 percent anyways is that the person you are crushing on sometimes do not even know you exist, or knows you but doesn’t like you. That can be so discouraging and itcan make you think you aren’t fine enough or good enough or whatever. When you begin to feel this way as a teenager, you tend to lose yourself or worth in the process, you begin to do things that doesn’t glorify God because you want to satisfy the person you are crushing on, thereby dishonoring God, sometimes you tend to regret your actions, you look back in years’ time and you begin to pinch yourself and criticizing yourself on why you ever crushed on this person, because people evolve, they change for either the good or bad, he or she might not be attractive to you anymore. How do you then navigate this stage when you tend to crush on someone as a teen?Firstly,You need to understand what emotion isGuarding your heartsHonoring GodManaging disappointmentPraying and Seeking GuidanceAsk yourself; what do I stand to gain if I satisfy myfeelings?Get occupiedEmbrace God’s love

TO ALL TEENAGERS, THIS IS FOR YOU
We are transitioning In two years, I have created diverse podcast episodes for singles on random subjects with the aim of making them walk in line with God’s desire for relationship. But now, it is time to move. I discovered that the younger generations are moving with no guidance when it comes to relationship and they end up doing what they like or what is trending which in return doesn’t end well sometimes. So, through the leadings of God, the relationship talker will now be centered on TEENAGERS, where we will be helping these young ones navigate their teenage phase of catching feelings, desiring a relationship, making mistakes, being judged and criticized through intentionally putting out podcast episodes in line with this through the inspiration of the HolySpirit and personal experience. Therefore, if you know any teenager that’s this podacst will be of help, do well to share the poadcst link below, let them follow and let God lead them from there.
