The Purposeful Life
We Were Never Meant to Do This Alone

In this episode, we’re reframing networking-- not as a transaction, but as a form of connection. Whether it’s with friends, colleagues, or peers in your industry, every conversation holds the potential to inspire, motivate, and remind us that we’re not alone.

Nora shares insights from her recent speaking engagement on loneliness and explores how meaningful connection can nurture both personal and professional growth. Through honest reflection and gentle encouragement, this episode invites you to build relationships rooted in authenticity, curiosity, and purpose.

If you’ve ever felt disconnected or unsure where to start, this is your reminder that one genuine conversation can shift everything. Tune in, reflect, and discover the power of surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals who help you grow. 🤍

Journal Prompts to Complement the Episode:

  1. Reflection on Connection:When was the last time I left a conversation feeling truly seen, inspired, or understood? What made that connection feel meaningful?

  2. Loneliness Awareness:
What does loneliness look like for me-- and how does it usually show up in my day-to-day life (emotionally, physically, or spiritually)?

  3. Intentional Networking:
Who are three people I genuinely admire or feel inspired by-- and how could I reach out to connect with them in an authentic way?

  4. Energy Check:How do I feel after spending time with different people in my life? Which relationships feel energizing and which feel draining?

  5. Purpose and Alignment:What kind of conversations make me come alive? What do they reveal about the kind of community I want to build around me?

  6. Taking Action:
What’s one small, intentional step I can take this week to nurture a new or existing connection-- without any agenda, just curiosity and care?

  7. Self-Connection:How can I deepen my connection with myself so I can show up more openly and authentically in my relationships with others?

Life Lately: Building, Balancing, and Beginning Again

Welcome back to the show-- where we talk about faith, wellness, and personal growth in everyday life.

This week’s episode is a little different. It’s more of a casual catch-up... a behind-the-scenes look at what life has looked like lately. I’m sharing what it’s been like starting a new marketing business, managing two ventures as an entrepreneur, and learning how to balance it all.

I also open up about settling into city life after twenty years away-- rediscovering my hometown through new coffee shops, local spots, and new friendships. It’s been such a fun, growth-filled season, but also one of learning how to slow down, stay grounded, and make time for the people who matter most.

Plus, I share about a recent speaking engagement on anxiety and coping that deeply resonated with participants, and how moments like that remind me why I’m so passionate about mental and emotional wellness education.

If you’ve been in a season of transition-- juggling work, relationships, and self-care while trusting God’s timing through it all-- this one’s for you.

How to Choose Safe Supplements in 6 Steps:

Because not all supplements are created equal, here’s your quick guide to picking high-quality, non-toxic vitamins and minerals:

  1. Look for Third-Party Seals – NSF, USP, ConsumerLab, or Informed-Choice = tested for purity & safety.

  2. Check Company Transparency – Do they share a Certificate of Analysis (COA)? Do they explain where ingredients are sourced?

  3. Verify GMP Certification – Label or website should mention “Made in a GMP-certified facility.”

  4. Read the Label – Choose active nutrient forms (Vitamin D3 vs D2, methylfolate vs folic acid). Avoid artificial colors, fillers, and added sugars.

  5. Confirm Testing – Look for mention of tests for heavy metals, microbes, pesticides, and allergens.

  6. Watch for Red Flags – “Miracle cure” claims, vague “proprietary blends,” or no info on sourcing/testing.

Pro Tip: Trusted supplement brands often recommended by health professionals include Thorne, Pure Encapsulations, NOW Foods, Garden of Life, and Nordic Naturals.

Whether you’re struggling with low energy, frequent illness, or just want to optimize your wellness routine, this episode will help you understand how Vitamin D works in your body--and how to choose safe, effective supplements when you need them.

Tune in, learn something new, and get your daily dose of sunshine for the mind, body, and soul. 🎧
