THE ORDINARY DAD
Money talks & how to talk to our kids about money? – Finances and raising children, are they exclusive?

It was during one of our monthly physical meet ups at The Ordinary Dad where we realised that the topic of money was a valuable one!

Mark Zhou, a stay-at-home-dad of 3 years, shared about having to teach his daughter about how to use money wisely as she entered primary school.

In this episode, Mark and Josiah discuss what should be the heart behind finances when it comes to teaching children about money.

More importantly, how do we help our children learn the value of money, without making it our masters?

To spank or not to spank? Is that even the right question? – Disciplining kids and the heart behind it

How should parents approach discipline and what are the long term effects of caning or not caning? What even is the aim of discipline, and exploring ‘discipleship’ as the root word of discipline. Is gentle parenting effective?

Two stay-at-home-dads, Cliff Tam and Tim Wong discuss their approach to discipline, in hopes of uncovering the above questions.
