In this episode I had the pleasure of speaking with Alex Perez. While in his 4th year of medical school a friend introduced Rocket Yoga to Alex. Although he has tried yoga in the past he never really enjoyed it, but the combination of the teacher and the challenge of Rocket Yoga inspired him to dive deeper into the practice. "We all have different reasons we get into yoga" Alex says "and it doesn't really matter what they are.".
In the episode we also get into the progression people make in a personal practice, what science is missing, how yoga is an art and how he feels about western medicine.
I hope you enjoy!
Alex shares wonderful information and insights on yoga. I strongly suggest following Alex at:

In this episode we speak with ex-welder, now Yoga Therapist Dustin Vieler. After years of welding and teaching welding, Dustin's life changed drastically when he was convinced to try yoga by his Chiropractor to help deal with his neck and back pain. It took one class and he was immediately hooked. Six months later, Dustin quits welding and pursues yoga trainings from Classic 84 to Forest.
Unfamiliar with these styles of yoga? Well, they are recognized and include some of the oldest teachings of yoga to be documented. In our talks we dive into the history of these styles, the difference between "new age" yoga and if we should really consider calling it yoga. We also talk about the 3 layers of the breath, injuries from HIIT, Yoga Therapy and much more.
This was an informative and fun conversation I had with Dustin and I hope you enjoy!
