Ep. 14 | Tyler Kohrs: From a Small Town to the Biggest Stages, There's No Replacement for Hard Work

In this episode, T sits down with Nashville singer-songwriter, recording artist Tyler Kohrs. They discuss his upbringing in Trenton, Illinois, his early years singing in chorus, his decision to move to Nashville, his time on The Voice (Season 20) and I Can See Your Voice (Season 3), his many visits backstage at The Grand Ole Opry, and his plans for 2026 and beyond.

Tyler moved to Nashville in 2019 after several years of regular trips for writing and performing since 2015. He grew up in Trenton, Illinois just outside of the St. Louis, Missouri area. Over the years, he has been mentored by some of the industry's most respected names including Ryan Larkins, Emily Shackelton, Justin Kawika Young, and Natalie Hemby. His dedication and artistry have earned him features on NBC’s The Voice (Season 20) and as the winner of Season 3 of FOX’s I Can See Your Voice.

In this episode, T sits down with Cameron McClaren, a Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist, producer and current touring and session drummer for Larry Fleet. Originally from Greensboro, NC, Cameron moved to Nashville at the age of 18 to chase his dream of being a professional drummer and has since gone from playing shifts on Lower Broadway to playing with international touring acts to thousands of people all around the world.

They discuss his early influences and childhood growing up in a musical family, his move to Nashville at age 18, the ups and downs of making a living in Nashville, the transition from playing cover gigs to touring with international acts, his work as an independent engineer and producer, giving up alcohol, playing storied venues like Madison Square Garden, and much more.

Ep. 12 | Chili Munroe: Perseverance, Gratitude, & the Power of Music in Healing

In this episode Bri sits down with Nashville-based guitarist, singer-songwriter Chili Munroe! Chili has lived in Nashville for a few years but has spent time all over the country. Raised in a suburb of Boston, music has been a cornerstone of his life, and his personal and professional journey in the music industry continues to inspire everyone who crosses his path.

The episode was recorded two days before his first original live set (and first time singing live) since recovering from two strokes he suffered at the end of his chemotherapy treatment following a cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

They discuss his childhood in Massachusetts, his early memories of music, his time at Berklee, his decision to go sober at the age of 21, his love of yoga, the outdoors, and time spent living in Tahoe. They also discuss his struggles with mental health, his cancer diagnosis and path to recovery following his strokes, the spiritual awakening that came to him through the rehabilitation process, and more.

In this episode T welcomes our first remote guest, Abi the Producer! Abi is a music producer originally from Staten Island, New York. She works with a variety of artists throughout the United States and abroad, typically working out of Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta.
