A sorority stunt goes badly wrong, threatening Olympia’s class action, while Billy enjoys getting to know Simone a little better. In this podcast Gerry and Iain consider attitudes to alcohol.

Olympia’s class action against the makers of alcoholic beverage Slamm’d is threatened when a young woman called Zoey Gomes (Galilea La Salvia) is prosecuted by an eager new ADA (Andrew Ghai) following the death of one of her sorority sisters after being pressured to consume the drink.

While Olympia and her team work to prove Zoey wasn’t responsible, Madeline gets to know Senior a little better and uses Alfie’s visit for Family Day to secure additional evidence regarding the missing Wellbrexa documents. Meanwhile, both Billy and Sarah pursue relationships that the other would disapprove of.

This episode was directed by Jude Weng. The writers were Michelle Leibel and Sheridan Watson.

The Columbo Podcast
This is That Moment – Matlock (2024) Podcast Episode 12

The twelfth episode of Matlock (2024) was titled This is That Moment and was the twelfth episode of the show’s first season. Julian and Olympia square off over a custody battle while Billy and Sarah’s troubles are exacerbated by the arrival of an old rival. In this podcast Gerry and Iain consider character.

After Julian responds to Olympia’s prodding by joining a custody case against her, the couple’s personal issues threated to derail their usual professional approach. Olympia’s client is Paloma de Leon (Greta Quispie), whose husband Bruno Cortez (Mauricio Mendoza) is accused of hiding resources in foreign accounts to reduce his support payments. The true issue, however, is residence of and contact with the pair’s son Tenoch (Enzo Fabiani).

During the litigation, it transpires that Julian has hired Sarah’s college nemesis Simone (Andrea Londo), who immediately attempts to get under her rival’s skin and disrupt her friendship with Billy. Madeline seeks advice from Jacobson Moore’s head of security, Lucius Brown (Sale Taylor), as her investigations continue.

This episode was directed by Kat Coiro. The writers were David Aguilar and Hennah Sekander.

The Columbo Podcast
Welcome to the Columbo Podcast, hosted by Gerry and Iain. This franchise show is an informal retrospective of both Columbo’s original run and the subsequent revival, as well as the 2023 hit show Poker Face. Hosted by a long-term fan of Columbo and a newcomer to the stories, the Columbo Podcast takes an affectionate look back at the detective’s investigations - from his first case to his last and now Charlie Cale's investigations too.
