The Taste of Human Blood – Poker Face Podcast Episode 14

The fourteenth episode of Poker Face was titled The Taste of Human Blood and was the fourth episode of the show’s second season. Charlie joins a group of extremist animal welfare campaigners and tries to steal a gator from a celebrity cop. In this podcast Gerry and Iain look at ColumboTok.

This week, Charlie is working with an animal conservation group led by a guy called Hutch (Shiloh Fernandez), looking to release a pet alligator from the control of celebrity cop Gator Joe (Kumail Nanjiani). When the group descends on the Flopacopa awards ceremony it seems the chance is there, but a gruesome turn of events leaves them shaken.

Gator Joe’s adversary for the top prize at the awards is by-the-book officer Fran Lamont (Gaby Hoffmann) who, initially dismissive of her boss, Chief Hal (John Sayles), pushing her forward for the awards, but after six years as a runner up has developed a more competitive spirit and an urge to harm her nemesis.

This episode was directed by Lucky McKee. The writing credit goes to Wyatt Cain, who also penned last week’s episode.
