That Was The Moment...
S1 E34 I Realised Trauma Didn’t Have to Define Me

Trigger Warning: This episode discusses childhood abuse, cancer, and the loss of a child, which may be distressing for some listeners.

In this powerful episode, Andy Campbell shares his journey of resilience after facing some of life’s most difficult challenges—childhood abuse, cancer, and the devastating loss of his son. Despite the depth of his grief and trauma, Andy came to a life-changing realization: trauma does not have to define who we are.

Through stories of survival and self-discovery, Andy reflects on the importance of moving forward without being consumed by the past. He speaks to the role of self-value, spirituality, and core beliefs in creating meaning, while showing us how grief can evolve into a space that makes room for new experiences.

This conversation is a deeply moving reminder that while trauma and loss shape us, they don’t determine our future. We can choose healing, connection, and a life beyond survival.
