It is a story about mice who take food from a women’s house without asking for permission. Obama, and they each left the office of the presidency with its dignity intact. Obama Elementary Magnet School of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been educating children for 22 years. She has been applauded for her efforts receiving “ Teacher of the Year” twice , 2004-2005 & 2016-2017 school years. We are excited because Alan provides a male perspective of reading with young boys of color. He suggests starting with enhancing their self esteem, allowing them the chance to open up to receiving knowledge , and then, discarding some of the technology which has become main distractors. He says, children who are over stimulated find it difficult to sit quietly with a book. Today’s episode features Mr. Keith Henderson. He has chosen to read “African American Inventors and Their Inventions” by Dr. Anita C. President. Bonus Q&A segment . Mr. Henderson gives (one) male’s perspective about why reading for African American boys may be challenging. The number one cause is the lack of interest. They lack interest in reading because they don’t see themselves enough and not in a positive light—something everyone needs to pique their interest, which might lead to the JOY of reading.
