Peaches and Sourcream Children’s Foundation, Inc. promotes the JOY of reading for children in grades k-4th. This platform was created to help children find their voices in reading by simply allowing them to read aloud from books of their own choosing. Our podcast is a virtual library, a place where people gather to read an eclectic collection of books on various genres so that children can tune in and listen to a variety of voices. This is not a place to project perfection but a place of connection where learning to read is a work in progress.

Peaches’ Read Aloud Guest Reader Relina Bonilla in Honor of Cinco De Mayo
Today’s episode is in observance of Cinco de Mayo , a celebration of the Mexican Culture—a widely observed anniversary of the Battle of Puebla—the Mexican Army that won an unlikely war in 1862 against the French Forces of Napoleon III. Our guest reader is Ms. Relina Bonilla. She has over 20 years as an early childhood educator. Although she is of Latino or Hispanic descent, she is not Mexican but Puerto Rican. Yet, Ms. Relina Bonilla embraces the diversified beauty in the Spanish language. In this episode you will hear Ms. Relina Bonilla’s use of her bilingual skills as she reads in Spanish and translates in English. She has chosen to read from two books: Oh What a Headache! & Oh My Gosh, Miss. McNosh! . We thank Ms. Relina Bonilla for lending her voice to the mission and vision of Peaches and Sourcream Children’s Foundation, Inc.
