Peaches and Sourcream Children’s Foundation, Inc. promotes the JOY of reading for children in grades k-4th. This platform was created to help children find their voices in reading by simply allowing them to read aloud from books of their own choosing. Our podcast is a virtual library, a place where people gather to read an eclectic collection of books on various genres so that children can tune in and listen to a variety of voices. This is not a place to project perfection but a place of connection where learning to read is a work in progress.

Peaches’ Mother Day Special featuring guest reader Priscilla G. Grinage
Today’s episode is in honor of Mother’s Day. It is our spoken word segment. Our guest reader Ms. Priscilla Gough Grinage reads from “ Of Thee I Sing : A Letter to My Daughters” by The Former President of The United States of America, President Barack Obama. This inspiring book is befitting for these current times of COVID-19, a celebration of girl power and the strength of the many contributions woman have made as trailblazers. It also highlights the male counterparts for the attributions of paving the way as pioneers. Ms. Priscilla Grinage is a doctoral candidate who currently teaches 4th grade at the Barack H. Obama Elementary Magnet School of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been educating children for 22 years. She has been applauded for her efforts receiving “ Teacher of the Year” twice , 2004-2005 & 2016-2017 school years. We thank Ms. Grinage for lending her voice to the mission and vision of Peaches and Sourcream Children’s Foundation, Inc.
