This episode is as simple as the title. We have come to the end of the podcast and I take the time out to reflect on the 2.5yrs of highs and lows and everything in between. With it being the final episode it was only fitting that I go back to the roots of audio only. Thank you all for the support over the course of this podcast and I hope to reconnect with you all in a new creative venture, whether that's another podcast or something completely different. Until then, stay blessed 🫶🏾
In this episode I am once again joined by my girlfriend Kelsey who is back on the pod to share her story of traveling to Belize. Sounds very simple right? Not really. It was once a country she had no idea of and then turned into a country that became her first solo trip. Listen to hear about her interesting journey along with experiencing my home country. Do enjoy and stay blessed.

In this episode my cousin Vernon is back once again to have a conversation. This was/is the final convo between us here on the podcast as I will be wrapping up the podcast in the near future. But until then, this episode is a reminder to stay focused on the present. Too many times it is easy to think too much about the past or the future and then we lose track of what is happening right now. In addition to that, we talk about how important it is to be in control of the way you feel and being the boss of your emotions. Do enjoy and stay blessed.

Not only has it been a long time since I've published an episode, it has also been an even longer time since I've done an episode by myself. I have been missing from the podcast because I was busy getting ready to return to Taiwan along with trying to get settled back in. Through my time trying to readjust to being back, I've had some challenges, including some that were mental and I wanna share some of that with you all that may be in the same situation, or will be at some time. Thanks for sticking around, I'll be back to having episodes every other Thursday so don't go anywhere. Planet Josh is back for real!

In this episode I have the 2023 BEBL season's leading scorer, Tavian Davis. The road to get to his first overseas gig was not an easy one, hell, even the start to his overseas career was not the smoothest. Imagine having to go through so much to the point that you're pretty much homeless living in your car in order to try to make your dream a reality. TD grew up in Oklahoma and his love for sports took him to Belize. Learn about everything that happened in between in this episode. This is a story of someone that has faced major roadblocks along his journey but his mindset has allowed him to keep pushing. This is one you don't wanna miss. Listen from start to finish.

We had a season recap, along with highlighting different trials and tribulations he faced along his basketball journey. From growing up in LA during the heights of its gang culture, to being all over the world playing basketball. An athlete is more than just the person you see in the game, find out more about the trials and tribulations that Alex faced off the court in this episode. In this episode I have a conversation with William Murillo, a powerlifter from Belmopan. He is going to participate in the upcoming NAPF competition in the Cayman Islands in August 2023. We dive into how covid and quarantine led him to putting on a lot of weight. He was convinced to join a gym to simply lose weight but that took on a life of itself and led him to competing nationally and then internationally for powerlifting. Through all of that, he gained a bronze medal in his weight/age class back in the 2022 edition of the NAPF competition in Panama City, Panama.

This is now part 4 of Eddy Live x Planet Josh, twice on both shows. In this episode I once again chop it up with Eddy Gonzalez, the owner of Eddy's Cantina, a restaurant in Taipei and also the host of the Eddy Live show. Doing an episode with a podcaster always seems to bring out endless talking on so many different topics. In this episode we touch on the transition you go through when moving to Taiwan, mine being back in 2018 and Eddy's being around 20 years ago. Fast forward through all that, he talks about what it's like to raise his daughter (a mixed child) in the Taiwanese culture that seems to put a lot on pressure on kids in regards to school and extra curricular activities. As expected, we had to dive into both our transitions from being shy people to hosting our very own podcast shows. Along with that comes the challenges of content creation and the pet peeves that we have in regards to having a podcast and with the guests have. As always this was a great conversation with Eddy, be on the lookout for more to come between our shows and maybe something else may arise.

We tend to look at healthcare workers as invincible as they are the ones with all the knowledge to help us overcome our illnesses. However, at the end of the day they're all human and do have their struggles. In this episode I am joined by Alexandra who is currently a CNA studying to become a registered nurse. We touch on the challenges of being a nurse, what it was like in the heart of covid and just dealing with mental health in general. Be sure to share this episode with others.

In this episode I had a conversation with Mea Dawson, who is currently studying psychology while working. Our primary focus was on the work culture in Belize and our experiences in toxic working environments and how it affected our mental health without even noticing it. It is important to realize that you need a change in scenery, and that change brings inspiration to continue growing as an individual.

In this episode I sit down and talk with Denisse (from the Honduras episode) and we discuss our perspectives on mental health. Starting with the way we looked at it based on the way we were raised, to the troubles we experienced that forced us to change that perspective. We hope this episode helps to change the way you look at it as well (if necessary) and gives you the boost to seek help when in certain situations.
