What does it mean to live faith today? And is this the same as what it meant yesterday? or even last year or ten years ago? What does it mean to live faith authentically? Faith today seems to produce more questions than answers, more doubts than certainties, more concerns than security. What does it mean to live Christ in a real, authentic manner that is not fake or artificial?
Today’s dialogue jumps into such questions as the aforementioned, and then some…
Recorded live on Fridays at 10am (pst) on YouTube, New Wine UnCorked seeks to step into culture with a heart bent towards engagement, reconciliation, and relationship.

Peacemaking comes when we seek to act in love. Action that comes in Christ through the Holy Spirit. Christ took Action and stood for change dying for our sins because of His deep love for us.
In the truth of redemption there is found a radicalness unparalleled throughout history. That is, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is such a lover of the other, He seeks out those who are at once passionate persecutors of Him and His people. He seeks them out in love in order to redeem the bat out of hell in me and in you. It is an act of transformation - in Christ, through the Spirit. Transforming the persecutor into one passionately pursuing love (story of Paul, me & you).
How is the follower of Christ to act in a time when love of self is a powerful force?

Today we are going to continue talking about belonging, racism’s impact on that, and what does peacemaking look like in the context of racism?
Trinitarian Bridge-Building from Racism to Peacemaking by sharing reflections from these past 8 weeks based on the question, “How is belonging and becoming as we have talked about playing out in action in your life.”
Welcome to New Wineskins on Clubhouse where we seek to build relational bridges through Jesus by engaging relevant subjects. We have been talking about Trinitarian Theology as bridge building from racism to peacemaking. We have previously defined Trinitarian Theology, among other things, as being the relationship of self-giving, other focused love of God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit one to the other from before the beginning and to us in Jesus Christ. For those of us who have a Trinitarian Theology as a core life value, that Trinitarian love we talk about should be pouring out to the other in and through us. During this Lenten Season as we HEAD TO THE CROSS Let us face Christ in HIS TRAUMA AS HE Becomes Our PEACEMaker - Christ took Action and stood for change dying for our sins because of His deep love for us So as we continue talking about belonging and what does peacemaking look like in the context of racism KEEP CHRIST’S JOURNEY TO THE CROSS FOR US ON OUR HEARTS AND MIND

What does peacemaking look like in the context of racism? Our dialogue last week focused on our mutual belonging to the Triune God in and through Jesus. As followers of Jesus Christ, this “belonging” extends to one another.
The discussion this morning continues the Trinitarian theology dialogue through the lens of bridge-building. That is, trinitarian bridge-building from racism to peacemaking.
The question remains “how should my core value of a Trinitarian Theology impact my faith seeking understanding and action? How do I participate in the bridge-building from racism to peacemaking?

What does it mean to procure peace? Peacemaking should move from seeking vengeance or avoiding conflict to reconciling relationships and making society whole.
Being a bridge-builder is to be compelled by the love of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:14) in God’s ministry of reconciling the world to Himself. As Jesus’ followers, we are invited to participate in the ministry of reconciliation and this should serve as our catalyst for the movement from racism to peacemaking. We can all publicly take a stand as peacemakers. Then, we need to do the work.

This discussion of a Trinitarian relational Theology and its impact on race has been really good yet really hard, and we thank you, Pastor Cliff, for your leadership in this. While today concludes this series in its present form, we will continue to dialogue the issue of racism in the context of SELF-GIVING, OTHER FOCUSED LOVE OF ONE ANOTHER as reflected in Father, Son and Holy Spirit in whatever we engage. The question remains “how should my core value of a Trinitarian Theology impact racism?”
This has been a profound movement of our discussion of Trinitarian Theology into its impact on race. This week we continue to press into the stories of life as they relate to personal and systemic racism so to bring to light the evil horrors of racism. Our stories are illuminating, difficult, tragic, elevating. They are stories of the human. They are hard to hear and share…but they are necessary.
The question remains “how should my core value of a Trinitarian Theology impact racism?”

The discussion this morning flows from the truth of presence and the truth of love. That is, the proclamation from the Biblical script says not only the God is Love but that God is here. Are these two claims true? And if so, how? Do they play out together on the world’s stage, or are they separate truths that remain locked in their own boxes stowed away in the corners of the stage? And, if this is all true - God is love and God is present - what then of the implications for those who claim to be followers of this God?
The Trinity is the paradigm by which we are to live. It is dynamic in relation. It is dynamic in its love. What then for the creature said to be created in the image of this very God?

The discussion this morning continues the movement into Trinitarian relational theology and its impact on race. Last week a little bit was shared about the Doctrine of Discovery……a Papal Bull of the 1400’s, as the beginning of the social construct of racism in this country. Its impact continues to this day. Over the week we were asked to think about how our history impacts the posture of our hearts and lifestyle. How does my core values, or lifestyle, impact racism?

The discussion this morning continues the movement into Trinitarian theology and its significance. We’ve talked about the one another’s in scripture and what it looks like to treat each other with mutual honor (dignity) and respect. It’s fitting on the first day of Black History Month that today and for the next several weeks, we will focus on the question of Trinitarian Theology and its impact on race.

The discussion this morning flows from the truth of theology, specifically, Trinitarian theology. How does a Trinitarian, Christ-centered theology play out in how we see the “other”? Does it matter if one has a Trinitarian theology, and if so, why does this matter?
First things first. At New Wine, New Wineskins we believe that theology does matter, and that you, and I are theologians. Theology is faith seeking understanding and this is meant to be done both individually and communally.
Trinitarian theology recognizes God’s relational disclosure and seeks to frame our understanding of divine and human being in interpersonal and communal terms. Truth is, the Trinity is the paradigm by which we are to live. It is dynamic in relation; thus, God's being is His eternal, intrinsic communion. So what then of today?
The discussion this morning continues the movement into Trinitarian theology and its significance. Today we want to move into what a Trinitarian theology of self-giving other focused love looks like. Considering the one another’s of scripture, what does it look like to treat each other with mutual honor (dignity) and respect? As you consider your own context…family, neighborhood, city, country, where does this self-giving, other focused love flow out of you? Where do you struggle & how is the Lord getting your attention?
The discussion this morning continues the movement into Trinitarian theology. What does it mean to have a Trinitarian theology, and why does this matter? How does a Trinitarian, Christ-centered theology play out in and through the Church? Where the body of Christ gets it right and where it does not?
Our identity as relational people of the Triune (relational) God is foundational to our purpose and our activity.
