The discussion this morning flows from the truth of presence and the truth of love. That is, the proclamation from the Biblical script says not only the God is Love but that God is here. Are these two claims true? And if so, how? Do they play out together on the world’s stage, or are they separate truths that remain locked in their own boxes stowed away in the corners of the stage? And, if this is all true - God is love and God is present - what then of the implications for those who claim to be followers of this God?
The Trinity is the paradigm by which we are to live. It is dynamic in relation. It is dynamic in its love. What then for the creature said to be created in the image of this very God?
