Hari om all my lovely yogis and yoginis... "Meditations on and off the mat" was born pretty much out of a desire to help my friends in their yogic journeys. Now, the subject of yoga is pretty vast ( the goal of it is to connect to all beings and the universe itself, so yes... vast it is) ,and there is always something to talk about. So to begin with, we will be doing a few meditations, yoga nidras et al. And then the universe is the limit. So come on this journey with me and see where we can go together!

Chanting of AUM. 21 times
AUM is considered to the smallest yet one of the most powerful mantras of the universe. It is the pranava nada. Considered to the mother of all sounds or the origin of a sound, chanting of Aum has many benefits, from relieving physical pain to psychological trauma. It's used as a tool for meditation. One can dither chant it or simply listen to it to bring a positive effect on ones moods. Practice it everyday or as often as possible. Here, you will have the opportunity to chant 21 omkaras along with me or simply meditate on the same. Sharing my light with you all. Hari om. :)

Meditations On And Off The Mat
Healing Meditation
This week, I decided to go ahead and do a healing meditation. You can do this for yourself if you are not feeling well or recovering from an illness. Or just do it to refresh or re-energize yourself. You can also do it on behalf of a loved one who needs it. Remember our love, faith and energy passes on to them. So if they aren't in a position to do it, this is the best way to bring health back to them. I've done it many times for many of my friends and family. I dont say it is a magic cure to an illness but it does make you feel better at least mentally and emotionally. I hope you enjoy it. Do send any feedback! Thank you and stay safe. Hari om.
