I have been trying to find different ways to romanticize my life and just overall become more comfortable doing the things that I want to do without caring what anyone else thinks. At the end of the day, living out of fear for what other people may be thinking about you and your life is not living out of love for your life- it is living out of insecurity and worrying about how we may appear to others. I’ve really started to try and shift my mentality from fear-based narratives to love-based narratives. Instead of making decisions that are fueled from the need to be validated or accepted, I take the time to really reflect on what truly makes me feel fulfilled in life. Rest and Reset | BURNOUT AFFIRMATIONS

Hello friend, welcome back to Life Codes. This week I wanted to talk about burnout. I’ve been feeling extremely worn out lately. Just with work and trying to keep up with my health and social life, it’s really been a lot. So I wanted to create some affirmations for you if you have been experiencing similar feelings of burnout. We hear it all the time; you have to fill your cup before you fill anyone else's; put on your oxygen mask first before you help anyone else put on theirs…But when you’ve been in a constant cycle of go go go, it can be easy to become complacent with your health and wellbeing. I feel like I’ve gotten so used to a certain level of stress sometimes that it just becomes my new normal. It’s not until I reach the point of beyond burnout and crash mentally that I stop and realize that I need to prioritize my rest and take more intentional time to myself. 

I don’t think it’s selfish at all to tell people when you need to disconnect and take some time to care for your mental health and wellbeing. But it can be really hard when it feels like people are depending on you to show up like you maybe have in the past. But just because you were a certain way in the past, does not mean you need to continue to show up in that way in the future. That’s the tricky thing about showing up in different spaces whether it be in work or in a relationship; sometimes people start to expect you to be able to show up exactly the same way every single day and through every season of your life, when that simply isn’t sustainable is it? 

It’s interesting because I experienced burnout in a lot of different ways in the past couple months. I feel like I’ve been burnt out creatively, trying to push out new content every week, burn out physically, trying to recover from injuries and training in the gym to strengthen my body, as well as burnt out spiritually, trying to live an intentional and meaningful lifestyle. It’s a lot to juggle, just being a person is a lot to juggle sometimes, even if it feels like there’s not really anything particularly big going on except taking care of the day to day things. 

When I’m feeling burnt out, I find it helpful to get back to my WHY. To think about my values and the things that fill me up with life and re-energize me. So that’s what this week's affirmations will focus on- infusing some energy and rest into your routine. If you’ve been feeling like life is moving much too fast lately, these affirmations are for you. Feel free to close your eyes as you listen, maybe practice breathwork, or simply find a comfortable position to sit and listen. I will repeat each affirmation so that you can fully soak up and absorb the meaning and intention behind each, like a prayer being spoken over you. Lucky Girl Syndrome and Toxic Positivity | ABUNDANCE AFFIRMATIONS
Hello friend, this weeks affirmations are for an abundance mindset + a conversation on lucky girl affirmations. I think that affirmations can be powerful tools for healing but it is very important to be intentional in the way we use them. I want to shift away from the side of self-care that claims there is a quick fix, life coach course, or a Youtube video that will change your entire life. I don’t think any affirmation or manifestation has the power to bring absolute final healing into one’s life. I think it is a life-long journey that comes only from within and affirmations just help us to pull some of those nuggets of gold out of our hearts. To unlock the abundance you were born with. And not in a very unrealistic way that minimizes the depth of painful experiences and trauma that most of us will go through at some point in life and will continue to have to manage our healing for the rest of our lives because of. So my focus for today's Abundance Mindset affirmation is to shift away from the idea that everything always works out for us exactly how we want and instead to the idea that maybe we can start to practice gratitude even when things aren’t quite going how we wanted or expected. I do think there is a way to be 100%, fully, joyfully, unconditionally, authentically you. And I think that happens when we begin to mature and accept that life IS filled with moments of great pain and grief, but that we can still find inner peace that is full of depth and multi-dimensional in our healing. Rather than magically believing that everything will work in your favor no matter what you do. It all starts with the belief in yourself. If you do not believe that you can achieve something, you will not achieve it. And so we can begin to make patient progress by narrowing down our focus to the state of our own self-belief: What emotions come up for you when thinking about your goals and aspirations? Do they trigger self-limiting beliefs such as thinking you are not good enough or don’t deserve certain things? Or do you get excited about what the future holds, no matter what it brings? Whether it be financial freedom, a relationship, or something like a health and fitness goal: nothing is out of your league unless you decide it is and settle for that. So today’s Abundance Mindset affirmations are to help you to continue developing self-awareness in a mindful and loving way. Metta Sutta Meditation | LOVING SELF-KINDNESS AFFIRMATIONS
Your affirmations today are for loving self-kindness. In the Buddhist philosophy Metta Sutta, loving self-kindness is purifying our hearts of hatred, jealousy, cruelty, enmity, and grudges. It is the natural state of unconditional loving awareness found already within you. I think that beyond this philosophy or any sort of the meditation/mindfulness trend in modern wellness, there lies a timeless longing to arrive home to an unconditional state of love and enlightenment in the present moment. The yearning for peace and nonreactivity in an otherwise very chaotic and very reactive world, including our own internal world that consists of our own introspective self-dialogue and self-talk. We may tell ourselves a number of lies and narratives throughout the day without even realizing it. Sometimes when I make mistakes I immediately think to myself: oh I am so stupid why did I do that. I am working on developing more self-trust and self-worth by replacing this negative self-talk with positive self-loving kindness and affirmations. So I’ve custom crafted these for just that today. I’d like you to think of an area of your life where you may be lacking self-kindness whether that be negative self-talk, low self-worth, body image, fear or judgment aimed at yourself. I invite you to allow yourself the time to be introspective and honest with yourself where you may be lacking loving self kindness in that area of your life, you must be brutally honest with yourself to get the most out of these affirmations.
