:D This kind of joy is important to spread around.
In this kickoff episode, I cover the major difference many professionals aren't aware of - when they're working ON versus IN their business. Implications of this are vast.
Here's a great quote about tenacity:
"I love that right now, Jett (my son) is standing, crawling fast, but not yet walking. And the walking is one of the first examples in humans that I'm talking about. The willingness to fall down, the willingness to jack something up, but then not say, 'oh, I'll never get this. Oh, I'll never walk. I'll just be a crawler forever.' The tenacity, the grit, the ability to cry it out. Sometimes when you fall and then get right back up, pull yourself up onto whatever ledge is available."
Takeaways
Understanding Business Roles: Differentiating between working 'on' (strategic, high-level tasks) and 'in' your business (day-to-day operations).
The Importance of Self-Assessment: Actively assessing one's business practices and identifying areas for improvement.
Embracing Constructive Criticism: Openness to feedback is crucial for business growth and development.
Growth Mindset: Adopting Carol Dweck's concept of a growth mindset to improve continually.
Balance Between Action and Planning: Balancing big-picture goals with actionable steps.
Permission to Make Mistakes: Recognizing that mistakes are part of progress.
Client-Centric Approach: Understanding that feedback may not always be about you but rather about the client's needs.
Personal Reflection: The importance of reflecting on how you treat yourself and others.
Celebrating Small Wins: Acknowledging and appreciating even small efforts and achievements.
Consistency in Effort: Committing to regular self-improvement and business development.

13.It's for me, it's not happening to me, it's happening for me.
15.if you need help it's not a problem. it's very brave
16.anyone can embrace the journey & learn to be brave, being brave is who you are
17.you start out terrified and scared, but you get through the day
18.the cumulative effect of being brave is powerful

27.Two ways to live: as if nothing is a miracle or as if everything is. No matter how much you might not want to be where you are, ask how can this be a gift for the woman I'm becoming? We all are the heroes on our own journey.
28.Sometimes the hero needs to ask for help too and that's okay

Power-Coach, Diana Georgiou, and I discuss beginning stages of coaching, unintentional voicemails, and an ancient human artifact (our brains).
Are you living in a way that aligns with the gift you want to give the world? There's more that meets the eye when you're trying to up-level your life... It's not about status or power or anything defined by someone other than YOU. These external motivators are great - there's nothing wrong with them, but if they're the only thing driving you, at the end of the journey you'll feel empty. We're talking about your impact, your life, and your contribution. You matter. You're needed. You're here for a reason, only you will decide what that reason is.

Failed Marriages, Forgiveness, and True Friends? (um, "avoid," "do it for yourself," and "nurture," respectively)
But it's not always that easy...is it? Sometimes life has a lesson in store for us and THE ONLY WAY IS THROUGH.
I'm here on the other side of that lesson. And little has molded me in the way that my first marriage has. Kelsey Scott and I have repaired and deepened our friendship after a 2-year marriage. This is an episode you're not going to want to miss. I also want to thank the Soul Barbeque podcast for allowing me to share this incredibly intimate conversation.

Healthy Humaning - you're probably either thinking, "I'm already PRETTY healthy," or "I'm the FURTHEST from healthy I've been in a long while," or somewhere in-between. Guest, Deana Tanner keeps it real with me, talking family, hard boundaries, trust, and being your authentic, TRUE self. What the heck is that, you ask? Take a listen to find out. :)
“Polyamory is embracing the idea that we never should have believed that we could control people to begin with.”
“I say ‘when you go through the personal growth process’ because somebody can decide to be polyamorous but if they haven’t done the work, all they’re doing is they’re taking monogamy ideals and trying to transpose them onto multiple humans at one time, whereas successful polyamory comes with a lot of intentional personal growth.”
“We need to embrace our autonomy and take responsibility for ourselves, so personal responsibility is also recognizing that which you don’t have control over and autonomy is acting on your own benefit, your own behalf - knowing you’re the only person you can control.”
