維他命吃不吃?
今年六月在美國JAMA發表的一篇大型研究 統計超過39萬名的參與者服用綜合維他命並未顯著降低死亡率反而在早期的追蹤期間 使用者的死亡風險略微上升(4%)這是為什麼?β-胡蘿蔔素(維生素A前驅物)具有抗氧化特性,有助於減少體內的活性氧(ROS)和氧化壓力。然而,過量攝取β-胡蘿蔔素會擾亂身體天然抗氧化系統的平衡。當大量攝取β-胡蘿蔔素時,卻會去抑制其他重要抗氧化劑(如維生素E和維生素C)的功能,干擾身體自然對抗氧化壓力的能力。某些維生素以補充劑形式存在時,像是β-胡蘿蔔素和鐵,分別與增加罹患肺癌和心血管疾病的風險有關。這突顯了過度補充可能帶來的潛在危險。再舉一個例子 葉酸葉酸在年輕時期對細胞分裂和成長很重要 但年老後人體代謝需求的不同 研究指出,老年人葉酸攝取過高可能會增加某些健康風險,如促進癌細胞增殖的風險,特別是結腸直腸癌。真的有缺乏葉酸的老年人,補充適量的葉酸對於減緩衰退有益,但完全不用多。早期生命階段需要較高的葉酸來支持細胞分裂和發育,但晚年時可能需要降低葉酸攝取以促進健康老化。也是今年的研究 在老年小鼠飲食中限制葉酸攝取 不會對健康壽命產生負面影響 反...
