This weeks episode starts with the first in our series on stress and anxiety. When we put out a request for questions a few weeks ago, many of you messaged regarding stress or anxiety in leaving cert teenagers. Some of you asked for strategies in dealing with your own personal stress levels and many more of you spoke about anxiety 'coming out of nowhere' and stopping you from doing every day things like socialising. So, we have decided to do a series and hopefully help to satisfy your curiosity about the differences between stress and anxiety and share some of the strategies we have used.
This week, we sent a question box out to our listeners via social media and asked for questions. A large proportion of those questions related to episodes we have recorded so we wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of some of the topics we have covered already. Have a listen, let us know which was your favourite episode and what stood out to you - next week, we are going to be discussing anxiety.
If you have been feeling stuck, then this episode is for you. Trying new things, exploring and curating a life aligned with our values (a big one being adventure) is all part of the master plan. Fiona and Ber talk about some of the new things they have done within the last year. They discuss the benefits of exploring things that they are not good at, being curious and allowing for adventure and play in their lives.
Today, Ber & Fiona have a very honest and vulnerable conversation about some very challenging life experiences and how they navigated them.
Trigger warning - Fiona discusses a near death experience with sepsis and Ber talks about grief at losing family members and her cancer diagnosis.
What a great conversation about self compassion - how we have integrated self compassion as a practice and what the research tells us on how self compassion practice can be of benefit. If you would like to try some of these practices, go to www.self-compassion.org and give them a go.
There is lots on social media about whether we should or shouldn't be dipping.....but how does it work for you..thats the real question. Lets chat about the real benefits and then where the evidence gets a little shady....
This week, we go back to chatting about food and more specifically, emotional eating. T
This week, following on from last weeks conversation about criticism, we are talking about comparison. Is it really the thief of joy or do we need a reframe? If you would like to have a go at the 'Wheel of Life' exercise we speak about in today's episode, head to Fullofit.ie and click on the link in today's episode.

We have had lots of requests for this topic over the last few weeks - you've been sharing your stories with us and in different ways, we have seen this behaviour at play. Known as 'tall poppy' syndrome or 'lobster pot' behaviour - why is it that when we are doing well, people sometimes seek to pull us back down?
In today's episode, we laugh about the updated definitions of terms like 'hooking up' and a new one to us...'situationship!!! We are learning lots from our teenagers and we have a chat today about how times have changed from 'way back when'.
Many people engage in exercise to manage body weight. However, because we are often encouraged to use exercise solely for weight loss, we are rarely taught about food and exercise through a lens of fuelling and performance. Today, we will discuss the common errors we see people making with fuelling for performance and discuss how you might recognise when what you're eating simply isn't enough.
Again, if any part of our conversation today stood out to you and you feel you need more support, contact www.bodywhys.ie for information.
From intimacy to parenting, being ghosted to learning how to manage 'meanness' - it all comes out in the wash today. Which topics stand out to you? Can you relate to anything we are speaking about? Share with us some of the things you wish you had known earlier!
This episode may not be appropriate for small ears - so mums and dads, if you listen in the car, be sure to have noise cancelling headphones on the nippers!
This is a huge topic to navigate, and as such, it is impossible to cover every nuance within an hour. So, the aim of today's episode is to increase awareness of disordered eating behaviours and the most prevalent eating disorders. As a nutritionist, Fiona has observed some of these behaviours in prospective clients but it is important to note that it is outside her professional scope of practice and so clients with eating disorders will always be referred to clinical specialists. In her role within mental health, Ber has worked with patients suffering with eating disorders and highlights some of the disordered behaviours that, if left untreated, may develop into eating disorders. We will follow up this conversation with part II next week where we will delve further into this topic.
If you have been impacted by any of the content we have discussed today or if you are recognising some of these behaviours in your own life, you can contact www.bodywhys.ie for information on how to get more help & support in this space.
This week, we are discussing gratitude - now before you roll your eyes, myself and Ber want to share how gratitude has been an incredibly powerful force in our lives. We will walk you through what gratitude practice is....and what it isn't ... And we will share some of the ways you can't begin to incorporate it into your daily practice.
We refer to 'research' a bit in this episode. And while many of you might not be interested in the behind the scenes reading on this topic, I'm guessing that some of you are as nerdy as we are. So follow the links below if you would like to see some of the research we looked through ahead of today's episode.

This week, we have a conversation about what happens in our nervous system when our alarm systems are telling us that we are overwhelmed. We speak about the layers of cognitive, physical and emotional business and how they can build to make us feel stressed and overwhelmed.
In this weeks episode, we explore the idea that not speaking our minds can actually contribute to us feeling stuck. Growth comes through being honest, most of all, with ourselves - we discuss what that may look like and how have we learned to navigate it without fear of conflict.
Welcome to the 'Full of it' Podcast - It's a little tongue in cheek, but for those of you who know us, you'll know the name is appropriate. In this first episode of the podcast, we discuss real change. What does it actually look like? Does it fit with the 'New Year/New Me' vibes...or is that just setting us up for failure. Instead, we take a closer look at the steps you might consider being curious about if you feel change is on the cards for you.
