Cory Jackson (00:01.016)
Hey y'all, welcome to Coffee with Cory. I'm your host, Cory Jackson. I sing songs, sip coffee, and recently picked up the fly rod, which has been teaching me a lot about life, patience, and trust. This podcast has been on my heart for a while because here's the deal. Life's a journey. It's full of ups and downs, winding trails, and surprise blessings. But it's a whole lot better when we walk it together.
with friends, family, and people who lift us up and challenge us to grow. I've always loved real conversation, especially with a cup of coffee in hand, and that's exactly what this space is all about. It's my way of sitting down with you, learning from others, asking real questions, sharing stories, and talking about the stuff that truly matters. We'll talk about struggles, successes, those
how-to moments, and even the I have no clue what I'm doing kind of days. All tied up to things that I'm learning and living out, faith, country and worship music, and slowing down to embrace the moment. You'll find the theme of fly fishing woven into each episode, even if I get caught up in conversation, which tends to happen, and I forget to mention it out loud. It's more than a hobby.
It's become a mindset because in life, just like on the river, sometimes you've got to slow down, trust the cast, and let the current carry you. This show is brewed in faith, steeped in country music, and poured out for the journey we're all walking together. Each episode blends life lessons with music, honest conversation, and themes like being still, hooked on the wrong things,
fishing in murky water, finding peace in the process, and many more in this first season. This year, my word is trust. Trusting God, trusting the process, trusting the timing, and even when I don't fully understand it. This podcast is a part of stepping out in that trust, and I hope it encourages you to do the same, to cast it out there, whatever it looks like in your life.

Season one is called Fly Fishing and Life Lessons. We'll dive into themes like being still, navigating uncertainty, finding joy in the middle of the mess, and recognizing the moments that hook your heart. Each week, I'll sit down with a guest, musicians, pastors, friends, and fellow creators to share real stories about faith, calling, and life in the waiting. And who knows, maybe we'll even sneak some music in here.
on some of the episodes. So whether you're driving to work right now, sipping your coffee, or just trying to make it through the week, I'm really glad you're here. This is a space for honest stories, a little inspiration, and a whole, whole lot of grace. So trust the cast, embrace the journey, and let's go, y'all. Or you might also hear me say,
Yee-haw, amen, and let's go. We'll see how many people I can get to say that. See you in the first episode.
