Grettings campers! I am back with a wonderful interview to share. At tonight's campfire I was able to talk with Casey a solo woman camper. Casey shares with us how she got started as a solo camper. What inspired her, why she chose this path and safety steps she takes including trusting her gut.
Casey's been blogging her adventures and you can follow her at the link below. So if you're curious about how to get started, what options may be available like towing a travel trailer then you may want to see why she choose the options she did.
Every camper is different. Your requirements might be different that Casey's or mine. But it's always a good idea to see all the possible options!
Happy camping!

Welcome campers to my campfire quickie. In this episode I share with you a guideline, sometimes referred to as the rule of 2. But it is more a guideline to always have a back up when your out camping or through hiking. I know when hiking you do try to keep supplies to a minimum but any sort of back up can safe a life in need. Even if it is extra fire starter, extra pair of socks or an extra form of communication for emergencies.
These are only suggestions and are only offered as such. In fact these are fairly basic and there are plenty more. So if you are new to camping and hiking and are not sure you can definitely take a listen and for those seasoned campers and hikers please feel free to leave your own suggestions as well.
Happy camping!
Greetings campers! Welcome back to the campfire. For tonight's campfire I share with you the mysterious lights of Brown Mountain. So North Carolina has many amazing mountains to hike, explore and camp at but Brown Mountain has something a little extra.... Lights that seem to appear, bob, streak across tree tops and then disappear! No one has been able to explain just what these lights are.
What do you think!? I would love to hear your thoughts and if you've experienced the lights yourselves please let me know! As always I'm always looking for more stories to share so send me a message to campfireghoststories8@gmail.com!

Welcome camper! I hope you’ve had time to get out to the green! At this campfire I will be sharing with you the history and the ghosts of Lake Lanier!
Did you know this lake was man made? Well it is, and with that comes a lot of history! Now this podcast is going to have some tough history. There will be discussion of rape, murder, abuse and attempted rape. I know times are difficult for some so if you are not in the mental or emotional safe space for this sort of talk then please skip this episode and I will see you at the next campfire.
I have also begun releasing my campfire interviews. I was calling them campfire quickies but they are not that quick! But they are really informative and encouraging to anyone who wants to get out to the green! So with all that being said! Take a listen and tell me wha ya think! And happy camping!
Greetings campers! I think I need to change these interview titles as these interviews are not so quick but they sure are full of great information and support!

Welcome to the campfire campers! This is part 2 of my Ladies in White series of January. As most of these women have been deceived in one way or another their chosen eternal wardrobe is not always white. One thing I have learned is the color is symbolic but white doesn't always represent their final emotion. So gather round the campfire and let me share you their tales. You can tell me what you think what white may symbolize for them or the other colors these women choose to wear.
Happy Camping!
Greetings campers! It is January and it is a cold one! But that isn't gonna stop this campfire! For the month of January I will be sharing with you the legends of the Ladies in White. Their stories come from across the globe! So get cozy by the fire while I share their stories with you!
I am also making preparations for my interviews with solo hikers and camper who happen to be women. So be sure to visit my YouTube channel and hit that subscribe button so you don't miss anything. I will also be sharing some of my campfire quickies videos as well!
Happy camping!
Greetings campers! This is episode 2 of campfire quickies. On this episode I discuss the importance of foot health and foot care. Our feet are so important so do not ignore them when you feel aches and pains. Seek out medical advise, before it can become debilitating!
Proper shoes that fit and protect you feet can be such a blessing but sometimes they are just too expensive. I do share a web site called Gear Trade that offers discounts on hiking, camping and all sorts of outdoor clothing and equipment.
I hope to see you out in the green and happy camping!
Greetings campers! I hope you are enjoying the down time this winter weather is providing us. I know for myself, I have been having a bit of a hard time remembering to take some down time. The winter months should be a time of hibernation, so to speak, but I know that can be hard to do in this consumer society.
So I hope you find time to ground yourself. I will be reminding myself to do the same. This episode is gonna be a wrap up of the Mammoth Cave in Kentucky! I will share with you more camping options. But believe me, there is so much more. I will also discuss the disappearances that have occurred around Mammoth Cave as well.
Don't forget to grab your favorite mug and favorite drink and get cozy by the campfire while I finish the year of 2024 with the Mammoth Cave!
Happy camping!
Hello there campers! It is so good to see you. The holidays have been a hectic one so I hope you have had the chance to get out to the green and breathe a breath of fresh air! At tonight's campfire I take us to Mammoth Cave National Park.
It is considered to be one of the most, if not the most, haunted national park in the world! This is a huge cave spanning 400 miles of tunnels. This will definitely be a 2 parter but for this episode I pay tribute to Stephen Bishop. Stephen was a slave who, without him, we would not have the the maps and trials we do today. I personally, give my heartfelt thanks to Stephen and the other slaves who loved Mammoth Cave and considered it their home.
I will also discuss the Blackout Tours of Violet Cave, a doctors attempt at curing consumption by moving patient's in to the caverns, and some of the mummies that were discovered in the caves during early explorations. And if that isn't enough, I share with you the horrific death of William "Floyd" Collins.
Remember to aways take care of yourself and get out to the green as much as you can! Happy Camping!
To find out more about returning native and indigenous artifacts back to their people see the link below.
Hey there camper! This is my first campfire quickie. These mini episodes will provide tips, things to consider, product reviews and is currently evolving into what ever it might need to be. But bottom line it is here to help those who want to get out to the green and are not sure where to start or where to go. I mention a pod cast called Solo Women RV Podcast where the host, Kathy provides lessons she has learned while out camping. She also interviews many women who are making it out there and living life! Their stories are so uplifting! I definitely suggest giving her a listen!
As always, I hope you get out to the green! See you at the next campfire!

Greetings campers and welcome back to the green. As always there is a lovely fire going. Please feel free to take a seat and get comfy cozy while I continue my tales of the Fae Folk. For this 2nd part I dive a bit more into the realms of Ireland. I discuss the origins of the Leprechaun. Did you know he had a day job!? Then I share a story of the Gnomes. There are few Gnomes that you may have heard of. One in particular goes by the name of Rumpelstiltskin but history suggests that he had yet another name.
In the beginning of this episode I discuss the importance of foot health. If you were interested in the video I mentioned I have copy/pasted it right here. I truly hope it helps because I know first had just how painful plantar fasciitis can be. As always stay safe out there and I will see you in the green!
