In this deeply moving conversation, Belinda sits down with Ashleigh Conwell, widow, solo mum to triplets, and founder of Yellow Falcon to share a story of unimaginable loss, resilience, and rebuilding a life with purpose.

At just 29 years old and 17 weeks pregnant with triplets, Ashleigh’s world changed forever when her husband, Matt left for his usual morning run and never came home. Episode 43: From Stage 4 Lung Cancer to Remission & Renewal  with Acupuncturist Dr. Robin Tim So

In this episode, Belinda sits down with someone who’s played a huge role in her life and her family’s healing journey, Dr. Robin Tim So.

Robin is a registered acupuncturist with over 44 years in practice, known for the way he sees and understands the body far beyond symptoms. He’s also an Integrative Cancer Coach, guiding others through their own healing after walking that path himself.

In 2020, Robin was diagnosed with Stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer, a terminal diagnosis that changed everything. Yet today, he’s in remission.

In this powerful conversation, they explore:

  • What it really means to see the body as energy and vibration
  • How cancer became his life sentence, not a death sentence
  • The moment he energetically affirmed, “I made the choice to stay”
  • Why true healing is about remembering who we are beneath the story of illness
  • How healing the fear of death teaches us how to truly live
  • How Belinda’s son’s recovery after a serious motorbike accident reaffirmed her and Robin’s shared belief that the body can heal itself

Robin shares that when we “heal the fear of death, we really learn to live,” and reminds us that “Love cancer, it’s just another condition, another word.”

His story is a reminder that the body isn’t broken, it’s wise, and that “healing comes with open feeling.”

Episode 41: Estrangement Isn’t Betrayal Part 2: Healing, Boundaries & Brave Decisions

In this episode, Belinda revisits her most viral and talked-about conversation, Estrangement Isn’t Betrayal It’s Boundaries and Healing an episode that reached millions, climbed to the top of the charts, and opened a floodgate of stories, pain, and hope.

Now, she’s diving deeper.

You’ll learn what estrangement really is (and isn’t), why adult children create distance, and how to find healing even when reconciliation isn’t possible. This episode is for anyone navigating family pain, breaking generational patterns, or trying to understand the weight of walking away.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode

  • Why estrangement isn’t betrayal, it’s boundaries and survival
  • How Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma can shape us as adults
  • The mix of grief, guilt, and relief that comes with creating distance
  • Why reconciliation is possible for some — and not for others
  • Healing tools such as re-parenting, chosen family, somatic work, and self-compassion
  • A guided reflection to reconnect with your younger self and inner child

Protecting yourself and your peace isn’t betrayal, it’s brave. Sometimes healing looks like repair, and sometimes it looks like finally choosing yourself and breaking generational patterns so the cycle ends with you.

Episode 39: Breaking Free from Survival Mode: Practical Tools for Fight, Flight, Freeze & Fawn

Ever snapped at someone and thought, “Why did I do that?” Found yourself overworking to the point of exhaustion? Gone numb or disconnected when life felt too much? Or saying yes when you really wanted to say no, just to keep the peace? These are all signs your nervous system has slipped into survival mode.

In this episode, Belinda breaks down the four stress responses, fight, flight, freeze, and fawn, in a way that’s simple, relatable, and easy to recognise in your own life. You’ll learn why your body reacts this way, how these patterns were wired in the first place, and most importantly, how to guide yourself back to balance.

This conversation is full of practical tools and daily practices you can start using straight away so you feel more grounded, present, and connected.

You’ll hear about:

  • Why your nervous system’s number one job is safety not your goals or to-do list
  • How to spot the signs of fight, flight, freeze, and fawn (and find your own “default”)
  • The role early experiences play in wiring these patterns
  • What to do in the moment to regulate and return to balance
  • Simple daily practices to build nervous system flexibility so you don’t stay stuck

This episode will help you meet yourself with compassion, understand your stress responses, and take back your power to respond instead of just react.

Beyond The Surface Podcast
Episode 37: Triggers: What They Really Mean

In this solo episode Belinda dives into something we all experience - triggers.

You know those moments when someone says or does something and suddenly you’re in a full-body reaction? Maybe you shut down. Maybe you lash out. Maybe you spiral inside yourself. We often think the person or the situation is the problem,  but really, they’re just pressing on something that’s already inside us.

In this episode, Belinda reframes triggers as activators,  messengers and invitations showing us what still needs to be seen, heard, or healed. Instead of spiralling, she shares how to pause, regulate your nervous system, and reflect on the younger parts of you that might still be asking for compassion.

You’ll hear about:

  • Why triggers are really activators and how they reveal what’s already inside you.
  • Everyday examples that show how old wounds get stirred up in the present.
  • A simple metaphor (the orange juice squeeze) that will completely shift how you see your reactions.
  • Practical tools to pause, regulate, and respond with choice instead of reactivity.
  • Journal prompts to move from blame and shame into self-awareness and compassion.

Being activated doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it means you’re human. And each activation is an invitation to grow, to heal, and to choose how you want to show up.

Episode 36: Judgement: How to Stop Letting It Hold You Back

In this solo episode Belinda dives into a weight we all carry - judgement.

Here’s the truth: you’ll be judged if you do, and you’ll be judged if you don’t. And yet, judgement is one of the biggest things that keeps us small. It silences us, makes us second-guess ourselves, and holds us back from showing up fully.

Belinda unpacks why judgement is often more about the person giving it than the one receiving it, how old wounds can make criticism sting more deeply, and the power of shifting from taking it personally to reclaiming your worth.

You’ll hear about:

  • Why judgement is projection (and not always about you).
  • How belief systems and nervous system states filter what people see.
  • Simple tools to pause, breathe, and take back your power when judgement lands.
  • The “Let Them” theory and how to choose your peace over their opinions.
  • Why our judgements of others often reflect the ones we carry within ourselves.

If you’ve ever shrunk yourself out of fear of what people might say, this episode will help you step forward anyway,  anchor into your worth, and live more freely.

Episode 35: Kieran Foran: NRL Great on Success, Struggles & Starting Over

Content warning: This episode talks about addiction, mental health struggles, and suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to a mental health professional or support line in your area. In Australia, you can contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.

After nearly two decades on the rugby league field, Kieran Foran has announced his retirement. With over 300 NRL games, a premiership, and a legacy as captain of the New Zealand national team, Kieran is stepping off the field and into a new chapter of life.

In this candid and powerful conversation, Belinda goes beyond the athlete and meets the man behind the jersey. Kieran opens up about his childhood dream to play for the Kiwis, the relentless work ethic that carried him through 17 seasons, and the darker battles he faced away from the spotlight. From gambling and drinking to depression and a suicide attempt, he shares how hitting rock bottom ultimately led him to rebuild his life.

We also explore:

  • The work ethic and evolution that sustained a 17-year career in the NRL.
  • The toll of injuries and isolation, and how they can strip away an athlete’s identity.
  • Why vulnerability is strength and the importance of men ‘wearing their heart on their sleeves’ and speaking up.
  • The reality of life after football and Kieran’s excitement to discover who he is beyond the field.
  • His message of hope to anyone battling demons: you can change.

This episode is more than a farewell to one of rugby league’s most resilient and respected players. It’s a raw reminder that success doesn’t make us immune to struggle, and that the courage to say “I’m not okay” can save lives.

Episode 34: Trevor Hendy: From Winning at All Costs to Winning on All Levels

In this episode, Belinda sits down with Trevor Hendy, six-time Australian Ironman Champion, four-time World Champion, and Australian Sporting Hall of Fame inductee. Trevor isn’t just a champion - he’s an icon. But as he reveals, his greatest lessons came not only from winning, but from discovering flow, connection, and meaning beyond competition.

Trevor shares the deeply personal story of losing his father and the profound sense of guidance he now feels. He reflects on how a supportive family and the surf lifesaving community shaped his values, and how an “effortless effort” mindset propelled him into the flow state - both in sport and in life. With honesty, he opens up about the ego traps of chasing external validation, and how he shifted from winning at all costs to winning on all levels.

We cover:

  • The strong connection he shared with his father, and the moment he doubted himself as a man when his son was born, and how it became a profound awakening.
  • Life lessons from surf lifesaving and finding courage through community.
  • The power of flow state and “effortless effort” that set him apart from the pack and kept him calm and consistent under pressure.
  • Reframing challenges through his belief that “the conditions are always perfect.”
  • Identity, ego, and the shift from chasing wins to finding true connection.
  • His life as an elite sportsman, son, father, husband, grandfather, coach, and mentor.
  • What lights him up today, how adventure brings him joy, and what life looks like beyond the glory days.

This conversation goes far deeper than medals and competition. Whether you’re an athlete, a leader, or simply navigating your own waves, Trevor’s wisdom will leave you reflecting on what it truly means to live in flow.

Beyond The Surface Podcast
Episode 32: Davey Lloyd: From Party Boy, Addiction, Reality TV to Sobriety & Peace

In this deeply personal and powerful conversation, Belinda sits down with Davey Lloyd, who you might recognize from The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise. But today’s episode, we’re talking about much more than reality TV.

For nearly two decades, drugs, drinking, and the “tradie party boy” lifestyle became his mask — the confidence to be the fun one, the life of the party — all while unconsciously carrying pain underneath it all.

Davey opens up about his third cocaine-related seizure that left him clinically dead before paramedics brought him back to life. This is not a polished comeback story. It’s a real, vulnerable, and courageous look at what it takes to take accountability, get honest with yourself, and do what it takes to get sober.

Inside this episode:

  • Early Childhood & Trauma — how the death of his older brother and emotional detachment at home left him feeling like he didn’t belong, and how that followed him into adulthood
  • Rehab & Rebuilding Trust — why owning his truth and coming clean to his parents was the hardest and most healing step
  • Being diagnosed with ADHD when he was 12 and how the medication affected him
  • The toxic pressures of the tradie party culture
  • The truth behind dating reality shows — do people really go on to meet someone or just for fame?
  • His cocaine use, seizures, and the moment it was time to check into rehab
  • How sobriety has brought purpose, peace, and clarity but also new struggles — especially connecting with women without anything to hide behind
  • The message he wants to give anyone feeling lost, stuck, or struggling with addiction

If you’ve ever battled addiction, loved someone who has, or just needed proof that it’s never too late to change, this episode will stay with you long after you listen.

Now almost two years sober, Davey shares: “Sobriety gave me peace. My life has gone from chaos to clarity.”

Beyond The Surface Podcast
Episode 31: Beyond Medicine: Rewriting Success & Finding Alignment with Skye Swift

In this episode, Belinda sits down with Skye Swift, a pharmacist, pharmacy owner, and subconscious transformation facilitator who helps high-performing individuals overcome internal stress and subconscious blocks to live with more alignment, vitality, and purpose.

Skye shares the pivotal moment she realised something was missing – standing in her pharmacy, noticing that her customers’ chronic conditions weren’t truly healing, and knowing there had to be more than medicine alone. This became the turning point that led her from traditional healthcare into deeper subconscious transformation work.

Together, Belinda and Skye explore why so many successful people still feel unfulfilled, how subconscious beliefs quietly shape our lives, and what it truly means to create lasting, meaningful success.

Inside this episode:

  • The moment Skye realised medicine wasn’t enough for true healing
  • Her transition from pharmacist to subconscious transformation facilitator
  • Why chasing achievements can still leave you feeling flat or disconnected
  • The hidden subconscious blocks that keep high-achievers stuck
  • The truth about burnout and why “doing more” isn’t the answer
  • What alignment really looks and feels like
  • Small but powerful steps to start rewriting your own success story

This conversation is a reminder that you don’t need to keep proving, pushing, or performing to be worthy. Real success isn’t about ticking boxes – it’s about tuning in, letting go of what no longer fits, and doing the deeper work to come home to yourself.

In this episode of Beyond the Surface, Belinda sits down with Sophie Kovic, the founder of Seed & Sprout – one of Australia’s largest and most loved sustainability brands. What started as a search for a plastic-free lunchbox for her son turned into a thriving eco-conscious business, and a movement that’s inspired thousands of households to live more sustainably.

Sophie’s story isn’t just about building a successful business – it’s about doing it differently. Choosing values over vanity metrics. Creating products that solve real problems. Redefining success, not as “more, bigger, flashier,” but as living simply, consciously, and true to what really matters.

Whether you’re building a business, dreaming of a slower and simpler lifestyle, or just rethinking what it really means to “have it all,” this episode is packed with inspiration and practical wisdom for creating a life that feels good on the inside, not just what looks impressive on the outside.

Episode 28: Not Toxic – Just Wounded: The Truth About Masculine & Feminine Energies

We’ve normalised calling everything toxic, especially when it comes to masculine and feminine energy. But what if, in many cases, what we’re labelling as toxic… is actually just wounded?

In this solo episode, Belinda unpacks the real difference between toxic behaviour and wounded energy, and how those patterns play out in our relationships, parenting, leadership, and everyday life.

We all carry both masculine and feminine energy within us, and yes, we all carry wounded versions of them too. That doesn’t make us bad or broken. It makes us human.

This episode is a reminder that while some behaviours are harmful and need clear boundaries, not everything that hurts is abuse. And not everyone who triggers you is toxic. Sometimes… it’s just pain protecting itself.

In this episode, you’ll hear:

  • What wounded masculine and feminine energy actually looks like, and how it shows up in everyday life
  • The difference between emotional protection and toxic manipulation
  • Why we all carry both masculine and feminine energy, no matter our gender
  • Why not all triggering behaviour is toxic
  • How to shift from wounded to healthy energy
  • How childhood and nervous system patterns shape adult reactions
  • Ways to respond, not react, and let your healthy energy lead

This conversation isn’t about labels, it’s about awareness.

Because when we understand what’s underneath the behaviour, in ourselves and in others, we don’t just gain clarity. We create real change.

This isn’t about excusing harmful behaviour.

It’s about knowing the difference between toxic… and wounded.

Episode 27: From Addiction to Awakening: The Soul33 Story with Corey “Soul” Vogt

Content warning: This episode contains discussions about addiction, mental health struggles, and suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to a mental health professional or support line in your area. In Australia, you can contact Lifeline at 13 11 14.

In this raw and soul-stirring episode, Belinda sits down with Corey Vogt now known as Soul 33 as he shares his transformation from over a decade of addiction, mental health struggles, and suicide attempts to becoming a grounded, heart-led guide for others.

Soul opens up about his addiction and how it began, the near-death experiences that cracked him open, and the role of plant medicine, forgiveness, and accountability in his healing.

This conversation is for anyone who’s ever felt lost, for men who’ve been told to “toughen up,” and for the women loving them through the pain. If you’ve ever wondered if healing is truly possible this is the episode you need to hear.

Key topics covered:

  • The pain beneath addiction: “Don’t ask why the addiction, ask why the pain.”
  • The story his third-grade teacher had him believe and how he carried it for decades.
  • Trying his first drug at 14 and how quickly things spiralled.
  • The illusion of confidence drugs offered and what he lost chasing it.
  • The healing power of plant medicine in helping him remember who he truly is.
  • Shifting from being an addict to a heart-led, purpose-driven man.
  • The meaning behind “Soul 33” and his life path number.
  • The truth about real healing and why you can’t bypass the hard stuff.
  • How real change only happens when a man takes full accountability and chooses it for himself, not because a woman loves him or wants him to.

A powerful story of being addicted, numb, and done, and then choosing something different for yourself and your life.

Beyond The Surface Podcast
Episode 26: From Welfare to Millionaire: The Power of Manifestation

In this inspiring episode, Belinda sits down with Sandy Forster, a single mum who went from $100K in debt and living on welfare, to building a multimillion-dollar business.

Sandy’s story is one of personal transformation, not through luck or privilege, but through inner work, energetic alignment, and a deep passion and understanding of The Law of Attraction. She rewired her thinking, embodied the work, and built a global brand that has helped hundreds of thousands of women manifest their dream lives.

Sandy was also a key mentor in Belinda’s journey, through her world-renowned Inspired Spirit Coaching Academy, which Belinda joined back in 2013 (see link below).

This conversation is a powerful reminder that your past doesn’t define your future and you don’t need a degree, savings, or a perfect plan to begin. You just need the willingness to believe, align, and take inspired action.

Together, they explore:

  • The emotional and financial rock bottom that became Sandy’s turning point
  • How the Law of Attraction, neuroscience, and daily spiritual rituals reshaped her reality
  • The difference between knowing the tools and embodying the work
  • How affirmations, visualisation, and consistent action create real-world results
  • How to shift from scarcity to abundance
  • How your brain, especially your Reticular Activating System (RAS), filters your reality based on what you focus on
  • Why success isn’t about degrees or background, but about energy, belief, and intentional manifestation

Sandy’s journey is a potent example of what’s possible when you stop waiting and start aligning with the life you truly desire.
