Takeaways
The Strategy
🧠 Head — Mindset Mastery
First comes awareness.
You have to recognise the story you’re telling yourself.
The next time you hear yourself say, “I don’t have time,” pause and ask:
👉 “Is this story protecting me or progressing me?”
💓 Heart — Emotional Mastery
The next step is to honour what you feel.
The frustration. The guilt. The overwhelm.
These emotions aren’t proof that you can’t handle more — they’re messages from your soul.
✨ Higher Self — Energetic Mastery
This is where you connect to your inner knowing — your higher self.
Close your eyes and visualise the woman who’s already living the life you desire.
She’s not rushing.
She’s not apologising.
She’s not waiting for more time — she’s creating it.
✋ Hands — Embodiment Mastery
Finally, truth without action is just awareness.
So take one aligned action today.
Just one.
Say no to one thing that isn’t aligned with your truth — maybe it’s an obligation, a commitment, a habit that drains you.
And say yes to one thing that moves you closer to your vision.
The Soul - Journal prompts
Universal Guidance -
The card I pulled today is the Ten of Wands.
It’s the image of a woman carrying too much — weighed down by responsibilities, expectations, and obligations that aren’t even hers to hold.
This card doesn’t say you’re doing too much — it says you’re carrying the wrong things.
The weight you feel isn’t from lack of time.
It’s from holding up a version of yourself that you’ve already outgrown.

The Story
In this conversation, Joanna discusses the importance of recognising when one's life feels unfulfilling and the call to embrace change. She emphasises the need for curiosity and self-discovery as pathways to uncovering untapped potential and becoming the best version of oneself.
Takeaways
The Strategy
1. Tell yourself the truth.
Stop pretending everything’s fine. It’s not ungrateful to admit that what once fulfilled you no longer does.
2. Reconnect with your values.
Success often gets defined by titles, achievements, or possessions — but real fulfilment comes from alignment.
3. Notice where you’ve been performing.
Pay attention to the moments you smile through frustration, say yes when you mean no, or shrink your truth to keep the peace.
4. Create space before clarity.
You don’t find clarity in noise or overthinking — you create it through stillness, reflection, and courage.
5. Choose differently — even in one small way.
The truth is, what you’re not changing, you’re choosing.
So, start small. Make one decision today that reflects who you are becoming, not who you’ve been.
The Soul - journal prompts
Take your journal, or a walk, and explore these reflections:
Pause on whichever question feels most alive for you.
Universal Guidance
The card I pulled for this episode was the Four of Cups.
It shows a woman sitting beneath a tree, surrounded by what she’s built — the full cups of everything she once wanted.
Yet she stares into the distance, feeling something missing.
And off to the side, there’s another cup being offered — something new, something unknown — but she’s so focused on what already exists that she can’t see it.
This card is the perfect mirror for this conversation.
It’s not about dissatisfaction — it’s about truth.
It’s that quiet moment when your soul says, “There’s something more for you, if you’re willing to reach for it.”
Discontent isn’t failure.
It’s guidance

The Story
In this episode of the Becoming No Ordinary Woman podcast, Joanna reflects on the themes of mortality, regret, and the pursuit of a fulfilling life. She shares her personal journey, including the loss of her mother to cancer, which catalysed her mission to help women live authentically and without regret. Joanna emphasises the importance of recognising life's fragility and encourages listeners to take brave actions towards their dreams. She provides practical strategies for self-discovery and living fully, urging everyone to choose courage over comfort.
The Takeaways
The Strategy
1. Stop Numbing and Start Noticing
We fill our days with busyness, scrolling, distractions — anything to avoid hearing the quiet truth that we’re not happy.
Today, make a promise to notice.
2. The 10,000-Day Audit
Grab a journal or a piece of paper. Draw two columns: Life Lived and Life Left.
Under “Life Lived,” write everything you’re proud of — moments, memories, decisions that made you feel alive.
Under “Life Left,” write what you still long to experience, create, or become.
Then ask yourself: What am I no longer available to postpone?
3. Choose One Brave Action
Big lives aren’t built in giant leaps — they’re built through daily acts of courage.
What’s one decision you’ve been avoiding that could bring more aliveness into your life right now?
Do it this week. Don’t wait for perfect clarity. You’ll grow into readiness by moving.
4. Build Your Aliveness Ritual
Too often, we ignore the whisper of our soul because we know it is not right and we are not ready to receive the wisdom its guiding us too.
Create a daily ritual — five quiet minutes to reconnect with your desires.
Ask: “What would make me feel most alive today?”
Then honour it, even if it’s something small.

🔮 Universal Guidance — Four of Swords
This card appears after a period of battle and make no mistake, living a life un-lived is a battle of the soul. The Four of Swords is your reminder that stillness is preparation.
It’s about withdrawing from the noise so you can hear the guidance of your higher self. Before you make the next big move, take a sacred pause: rest, reflect, and recommit to what truly matters.
Is this your next step?

The Story
In this episode of Becoming No Ordinary Woman, Joanna explores the transformative power of the phrase 'what if.' She discusses how this simple mindset shift can lead to either fear or possibility, sharing personal stories and practical steps to help listeners embrace their potential. Through her journey, Joanna illustrates the importance of choosing empowering thoughts and offers actionable strategies to shift from fear-based thinking to a mindset of possibility and growth.
Takeaways
The Strategy
1. Notice your “What If” patterns.
For the next 24 hours, I want you to simply observe. Every time you catch yourself saying or thinking “What if…”, pause. Ask yourself:
👉 “Is this thought rooted in fear or possibility?”
No judgment, just awareness. This step alone can be transformational — because most of us run fear-based “What ifs” on autopilot.
2. Flip the script.
Once you spot the fear-based “What ifs”, consciously rewrite them.
For example:
This is about training your mind to look for evidence of possibility rather than danger.
3. Anchor into trust.
When fear creeps in, add this phrase:
👉 “What if… and I’ll be okay.”
It doesn’t deny reality — it reminds your nervous system that you can handle whatever comes. That self-trust changes everything.
4. Build your new “What If” muscle.
Each morning this week, choose one area of your life — your career, a dream, a relationship — and write a positive “What if” statement about it.
Watch what happens when you start your day in that energy of expansion.
The Soul - Journal prompts
What would this shift in thinking open up in my life?
· What area of my life is ready for more possibility and potential? What if I allowed myself to explore this?
· What if I chose to let go of fear. What could this mean for my life now, in 12 months, in 5 years?
Universal Guidance - the 5 of Wands
This card invites you to step back and recognise that the battle isn’t out there — it’s within.
It’s a call to stop fighting yourself.
When you drop the struggle and align your energy behind possibility rather than fear, your focus becomes clear, and your actions become unstoppable.
The Five of Wands reminds you: not all friction is bad — sometimes it’s simply the energy of growth, pushing you to rise to the next level.
Let the friction refine you, not define you.

The card I pulled for this episode was The High Priestess. And she could not be more perfect.
The High Priestess is the guardian of your inner knowing. She invites you to trust your intuition, to tune into the quiet voice inside you that says, “You already know your worth. Stop seeking external validation.”
In this Vinted moment, my rational brain said, “Just accept less, it’s easier.”
But my inner High Priestess said, “Hold steady. Trust yourself. Trust the value you bring.”
That’s the invitation for you too. The High Priestess reminds you: You don’t need to prove your value. You simply need to embody it.

Joanna provides practical steps for listeners to cultivate understanding in their interactions, ultimately encouraging a shift from judgment to empathy and leadership.

Universal Guidance
The card I pulled today is the Two of Wands.
This is a card of vision, decision, and stepping into new territory. It reminds us that leadership is not just about action, but about perspective. Standing at the threshold of possibility, you hold the choice: do you rush ahead with assumptions, or do you expand your view and see the whole horizon before you?
This card invites you to step into your role as the visionary of your own life — to make choices from a place of understanding, clarity, and expanded awareness. Just like holding the world in your hands, your power lies in perspective. When you seek to understand, you open doors that would remain closed if you rushed to be understood first.

SHOWNOTES
Summary
The Story
In this episode, Joanna discusses the powerful shift in mindset that comes from recognising that being underestimated does not equate to unworthiness. Through the story of Judith from the show Destination X, Joanna illustrates how underdogs can triumph against the odds by staying focused, trusting their journey, and not succumbing to comparison. She emphasises the importance of self-belief, persistence, and the unique timing of each individual's path to success.
Takeaways
The Strategy
1. Stop comparing timelines.
Comparison creates a false hierarchy. You might look at someone else and see them as “ahead” because they’ve achieved something you haven’t yet. But every dream has its own divine timing.
2. Stay present and attentive.
In life, your experiences, setbacks, lessons, and even your pauses are all part of the toolkit you’ll eventually need. So instead of looking sideways, keep noticing what your own journey is teaching you. That’s your real advantage.
3. Play your game.
It’s tempting to try to replicate someone else’s strategy — to believe their way is the right way. But your path is unique. Their formula may not work for you, because it wasn’t designed for you.
4. Trust the long game.
This isn’t about quick wins; it’s about building a life and a legacy. The tortoise didn’t win because he sprinted — he won because he kept going.
Anchor mantra:
“My path, my pace, my win.”
The Soul - Your journal prompts
The Universal Guidance - 8 of Swords
This card is here to remind you:
👉 The limitations you feel are not the truth — they are the story you’re telling yourself.
👉 The way forward is already available to you once you choose to see it.
👉 You are never as trapped, stuck, or “behind” as your mind might make you believe.
Free yourself from the illusion that comparison creates. You are not the underdog. You’re already capable, resourced, and perfectly placed to run your race in your timing.

The card I pulled for this episode was The Empress — and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a more aligned message.
The Empress is the embodiment of creation, self-trust, and feminine power. She doesn’t wait for permission. She decides— from within — what she’s ready to grow, and then she nurtures it into being.
She doesn’t try to control every outcome… but she takes full ownership of what she’s cultivating.
In the context of this episode, The Empress is here to remind you that you are the source.
That the life you desire won’t come from fixing everything at once… but from choosing one thing to honour, to shift, to lead with love — and then showing up for it fully.
Her message is clear:
“You don’t have to hustle your way into a better life.
You simply need to stop abandoning the part of you that knows what she wants.”
The Empress invites you to:
This is what The Shift is all about.
It’s not about doing more. It’s about reclaiming your power as the creator of your life one intentional shift at a time.

She shares her journey from a corporate career dominated by masculine energy to a more harmonious approach that incorporates both energies. Joanna provides practical steps for listeners to identify their default energy, recognise signs of imbalance, and intentionally balance these energies for a more fulfilling life.
Takeaways
The Strategy
1. Identify Your Default Energy - which energy do you use the most?
2. Recognise the Signs of Imbalance
3. Balance with Intention - Make space for more of the energy you need to create balanceThe Soul
Universal Guidance
The card I pulled for today’s episode is the Three of Cups.
This card is all about connection, harmony, and the celebration that comes when we come together in balance. Traditionally, it represents friendship, sisterhood, and joyful collaboration — but in the context of today’s episode, I see it as a mirror of the masculine and feminine dance we’ve been talking about.
The Three of Cups reminds us that we don’t have to do life alone, or from just one energy. It’s about weaving together the different aspects of ourselves — structure, flow, intuition, action — and letting them celebrate together, like old friends around a table.
It’s also a reminder to receive support. To allow others to pour into us, just as we pour into them. That’s feminine energy in action — receiving with grace — balanced by the masculine energy of giving and holding space.
If you’ve been stuck in overdrive or drifting in uncertainty, this card is a nudge to come back to balance and to connection. Connection with yourself. Connection with others who lift you up. And connection with the energies within you that, when they work together, create not just balance, but joy.
So let this card be your reminder: when your masculine and feminine energies dance together, life doesn’t just flow — it becomes something worth celebrating.

The Story
In this episode of 'Becoming No Ordinary Woman', Joanna explores the power of being unconventional. 4 Write Your Own Permission Slip
Give yourself full-bodied permission to:
And then speak this aloud like a mantra:
“Being unconventional is who I am and that feels fabulous”

The Story
In this episode, Joanna discusses the importance of embracing one's superpowers and the journey towards self-acceptance and confidence. She shares her personal experiences and insights on how societal expectations often lead individuals, especially women, to downplay their unique gifts. Joanna provides a four-step process to help listeners reclaim their superpowers and live unapologetically, emphasising that these traits are not flaws but essential parts of one's identity. The episode concludes with a powerful reminder that the world needs the authentic self, not a diminished version.
Takeaways
We often shy away from speaking about our gifts.
Being confident about your superpowers isn't arrogance, it's self-confidence.
Superpowers include intuition, emotional intelligence, and seeing potential in others.
Many women feel they need to tone down their gifts to fit in.
The things we are told to quieten down are often our superpowers.
Reclaiming your gifts can lead to empowerment and authenticity.
It's important to show up unapologetically in all aspects of life.
The world needs the real you, not a smaller version.
Your superpowers were given to you on purpose for a purpose.
Life moves in cycles, and it's time to embrace your true self.
The Strategy
1. Name It.
What are the parts of you that you know you’ve been hiding? Call it out and bring them into the light.
2. Reclaim It.
Write a new story. Rewrite the labels and make them yours. Who gives a stuff what other people think of them?
I
3. Show It.
Choose one place this week to let that part of you be seen. Let her out.
4. Anchor It.
Choose a mantra to root into. Here are two of my favourites:
“This is who I am — and I’m done apologising for it.”
“My superpowers are XYZ and they are my greatest gift.
The Soul

The Universal Guidance:
And the card I pulled today… is The Wheel.
Such a powerful one.
The Wheel is all about cycles, fate, and turning points.
It reminds us that life moves in seasons — and sometimes, the very thing we used to see as a flaw was simply misunderstood in the wrong chapter of our story.
Your ‘too muchness’?
Your wildness?
Your sensitivity?
Your big vision, your bold voice, your deep emotion?
It was never a flaw.
It just wasn’t time yet. Or it wasn’t your people.
But the wheel is turning now.
This card is a message that the time is right to reclaim what you’ve hidden.
To understand that your superpowers were never random.
They were given to you on purpose, for a purpose.
And everything that once made you feel out of place…
Might be the very thing that makes you a leader in this new season.
So if you’ve been waiting for a sign…
For permission…
For a cosmic green light…
The Wheel says: it’s time.
The tide is turning in your favour — if you’re willing to rise with it.
This is your invitation to stop circling the edges of your power… and step fully into it.

The Story
In this episode of 'Becoming No Ordinary Woman', Joanna delves into the quiet moments that test our courage, particularly in the face of criticism and self-doubt. She shares a personal story about receiving a one-star review for her podcast, which triggers a deep exploration of her past experiences and the shame associated with them. Joanna emphasises the importance of feeling emotions, understanding the stories we tell ourselves, and developing strategies to overcome fear and criticism. She encourages listeners to embrace their flaws and reclaim their power, reminding them that true freedom comes from facing their fears head-on
Takeaways
· The quiet moments of courage often test us the most.
· Criticism can trigger deep-seated feelings of shame and inadequacy.
· Past experiences can significantly influence our present behaviour.
· Visibility in our endeavours comes with risks and rewards.
· Emotions are meant to be felt and processed, not buried.
· Understanding our inner critic is crucial for personal growth.
· Reframing negative experiences can help us move forward.
· Returning to our 'why' can provide clarity and motivation.
· Courage is a muscle that strengthens with use.
· Facing our fears is essential for reclaiming our power.
The Strategy
1- Feel it – Don’t bypass how you feel. Let yourself feel the sting.
2- Name it – What story got activated? Is it “I’m not good enough”? “This means I’ve failed”? This is where it is powerful to listen into to what your inner critic is inevitably telling you.
3- Reframe it – Ask: Is this really about me? Or am I allowing myself to be kept small by someone else’s thoughts, opinions and insecurities.
4- Return to your why – Anchor back in. In these crunch moments, it is time to remember why you are doing the thing anyway. Why did you start? Who are you doing this for?
5- Keep Going Anyway – Courage is a muscle. Every time you show up, you strengthen your resilience.
The Soul
Here are your journal prompts for this episode:
· What story do I tell myself when I feel judged or criticised?
· What would I do if I truly believed I was here to live an extraordinary life and not people please?
· Who loses out when I stay small to avoid discomfort?
Universal Guidance – The Devil Card
“In the darkness I am free to heal everything.”
This card doesn’t represent evil, it represents the illusions that keep us stuck. The fears, shame, limiting beliefs, and unconscious patterns that quietly run the show in the background. It calls out the ways we give our power away to judgment, to old stories, to unspoken shame, and invites us to reclaim it.
The Devil shines a light on our inner prisons. This card is a reminder that freedom doesn’t come from avoiding the darkness, it comes from facing it. Looking it in the eye and saying: “You don’t get to run my life anymore.”
So if you’re carrying a fear that’s been keeping you quiet, keeping you small, let this card be your invitation to sit with it. Not to judge it. But to see it. To feel it. And to choose differently.
You don’t need to fight your shadows, you just need to walk through them with the light of awareness.
Take what resonates. Leave what doesn’t.

Universal Guidance - Page of Pentacles
The card I pulled for today’s episode is the Page of Pentacles — and what a perfect message for this moment.
The Page of Pentacles is the energy of new beginnings, grounded potential, and intentional focus. She invites us to treat our dreams with reverence — not just as hopes, but as things we are actively cultivating.
And what better way to honour what we’re building than to celebrate it as we go?
This card reminds you that your small steps do matter. That every action — every choice, every ritual, every time you show up for your growth — is a seed planted in the soil of your becoming.
Celebration is the sunlight.
So treat yourself as someone who is worthy of joy now — not just when the final harvest comes. The Page of Pentacles says: Celebrate your beginnings like they’re already becoming something beautiful. Because they are.

Thank you for listening.
I will see you in the next episode.
Remember This is personal. This is collective. This is legacy.
The Story
In this episode, Joanna discusses the transformative power of adopting a CEO mindset in one's life. She emphasises the importance of taking control, setting a vision, and being accountable for one's happiness. Through personal anecdotes and strategies, she encourages listeners to embrace their authentic selves, define their dreams, and take actionable steps towards achieving them. The conversation culminates in a call to action for listeners to schedule their own 'CEO day' to reflect on their goals and aspirations.
Takeaways
The Strategy
Here are my 5 strategies for becoming the CEO of your life:
1 Shape your CEO identity - It is time to claim your identity as the CEO of your life. This is you stepping into the most powerful and impactful leadership role of your life.
2 Shape Your vision – This is the ‘what’
When did you last allow yourself to dream? I know that you might be a bit rusty in terms of dreaming big about your own desires so here are three basic questions to get you started: ·
Who do you want to be? ·
What do you want to do? ·
What do you want to have?
You are the CEO so you can shape this however you want to.
3 Your mission statement
Now it’s time to write your mission statement. Your mission statement is the short statement that you will use as the compass that moves you in the direction of your big vision. It is the ‘how’ you are going to do something.
4 – Your values Your values are your compass. They underpin your leadership identity which is about being authentically you. Your values are your navigation system.
5 – Strategy – Time to take action and be accountable Being the CEO of your life means you need to make decisions and take action.
The Soul
Ask yourself:
This shift into personal leadership isn’t about making yourself wrong for what has come before, it’s about honouring the vision that’s been quietly waiting for your attention.
The Universal Guidance - Ten of Pentacles
This is a card of legacy. Of building something meaningful, lasting, and soul-aligned.It’s not about quick wins — it’s about long-term fulfilment.
It indicates that love, abundance success and happiness is on its way to you.
It is time to welcome its arrival and commit to your long term success
Call to Action
Schedule your first CEO Day.
Block out time. Grab a journal. Light a candle. Get your coffee in a mug that reminds you who you are.
And begin.

The Story
In this episode Joanna explores the concept of purpose, emphasising that it is not a destination to be found but a way of living authentically and fully. She shares her personal journey of discovering her purpose, the challenges she faced, and the framework she developed to help others find their own purpose. The Life Model framework consists of living authentically, making meaningful impact, embracing full self-expression, and finding joy. Joanna encourages listeners to align with their true selves and live in full expression, offering practical insights and a call to action for self-reflection.Takeaways
The Strategy
The LIFE model.
L – Living Authentically
You know who you are. And you show up as her.
Not for applause — but for alignment.
I — Impact That’s Meaningful
You feel like you matter.
Not in a saviour kind of way — but in a soul kind of way.
F — Full Self-Expression and Lifelong Growth
You allow yourself to evolve. To try. To become.
E — Enjoyment and Joy
You make space for play. For pleasure. For lightness.
Joy isn’t a luxury — it’s a compass.
Here’s how to check in with the L.I.F.E. model — right now.
Ask yourself these four questions. Score each one out of 10:
1. I know who I am and show up as myself each day.
2. I feel like what I do makes a difference.
3. I’m constantly evolving into my best self.
4. My life is fun.
Where are you aligned?
Where are you hiding?
Let this be your purpose audit.
When you look at your scores, it will easily show you where you might be out of balance. This is a tool you can revisit regularly to keep on track with how aligned you are with your purpose.
The Soul
Journal on this prompt:
“Where in my life am I performing instead of living in full expression?”
Then, choose one thing today that feels authentic, impactful, expressive, or joyful — and do it.
Spiritual guidance
The card I pulled for this episode is the Seven of Cups — and it couldn’t be more aligned.
This card speaks of many choices, but also confusion.
It reflects that moment when you're bombarded with options, ideas, versions of yourself you could be — and yet feel unable to choose.
Purpose can feel like that.
You ask:
Should I do this job or that one?
Start this business or pivot into something else?
Move here or stay there?
But the truth is...
Clarity doesn’t come from more options, but from deeper alignment.
Not from thinking harder, but from living more fully.
That’s the invitation of the L.I.F.E. model.
To come back to what feels real, resonant, and true.
To Live in Full Expression

The Story
In this episode, Joanna explores the concept of unshakeable identity, sharing her personal journey and the lessons learned from losing her identity multiple times. She emphasises the importance of building an identity rooted in personal values, superpowers, and purpose, rather than external roles or expectations. Joanna also addresses the common experience of imposter syndrome and offers strategies for overcoming it. The episode concludes with a reflection on the profound opportunity that arises from moments of identity crisis, encouraging listeners to embrace their true selves.
Key Takeaways
Six ways to create an Unshakeable Identity:
1. Name your values. Your values are the compass for who you are. Start there.
2. Spot the superpowers. What are you naturally brilliant at? Ask people you trust. Reflect on moments when you felt fully alive. These are clues.
3. Track your triggers. Triggers often reveal where you’ve outsourced your worth. Notice where you feel reactive or not-enough — and ask, “What identity am I defending here?”
4. Craft your new identity statement. Try this prompt: I am a woman who... (e.g. “I am a woman who leads herself powerfully. Who chooses truth over approval. Who lives in alignment.”)
5. Practice being her. Embodiment is everything. Ask yourself each morning: How would the most aligned version of me show up today?
6. Anchor the new self. Find a piece of music that symbolises your Unshakeable identity. Play it loud and play it often. My Unshakeable Identity anthem is Katy Perry Roar.
The Soul - Journal prompts
• Where have you allowed external roles or expectations to define who you are?
• Who are you beyond the titles, the achievements, the roles you play?
• What are the 3 core values that truly define you — even if everything else were stripped away?
• What parts of you have you hidden to stay “safe,” “liked,” or “approved of”?
• What would it feel like to build your identity from within — based on truth, not performance?
Universal Guidance – Ten of Swords
The card I pulled for this episode is the Ten of Swords — a card that speaks of endings, rock bottom, and the deep pain that comes when an old version of ourselves dies off.
This can feel brutal. It’s the collapse of everything you thought made you you — the roles, the achievements, the identity you built to survive or succeed. But this card isn’t just about pain — it’s about the profound opportunity that lives within that ending.
The Ten of Swords reminds us that sometimes, your unshakeable identity isn’t built — it’s revealed… when everything else falls away.
It’s in those moments when you feel like you’ve lost everything that your truth rises. Not the version of you shaped by others’ expectations — but the version that comes from deep within.
If you're in a moment of unraveling, this card is your reminder:
💫 The worst is behind you.
💫 The sun is rising.
💫 This is the beginning of your return to yourself.
