Training For An Ultra At Altitude | Never Summer Racap

FREE Private Discord Chat https://discord.gg/4QMxjFyQGJ

Please a review and comment!

This week Tara and I talk about her race in Northern Colorado this past weekend. She raced the Never Summer 60k which is arguably the toughest 60k in the country. At just under 40 miles and 9,000 ft of gain, the real challenge came with the altitude.

This race is almost entirely over 10,000 ft of elevation and summits over 12,000 ft. Coming from sea level we knew this was going to be a challenge.

We talk prep and training for this race. Tara will talk about what she did right and somethings she may have changed going into the event.

Faster you go, the more rest you have until the top of the next hour. This continues until everyone quits and only one runner remains. The runners dictate the finish line.

This race is not about speed. It is about determination and survival. Its mental warfare and strategy. It's so simple that it will drive people crazy.

This year I got myself a new backyard ultra PR!
