And every time we learn something new, we forge a new synaptic connection in our thinking brain. The neocortex is that corrugated brain that sits on the outside, allows us to gain information from our environment. So was we begin to learn new things, we add a new stitch to circuits that represent the three-dimensional tapestry in our gray matter.
