In this episode, we dive into one of the most talked about topics in health and well being right now - GLP 1s.
You've probably heard the names Mounjaro and Ozempic - but what do they REALLY do? What are the myths, and what are the genuine mental and physical benefits behind them.
Joining host Jennie to help make sense of it all is Dr. Andre Brittain-Dissont. He has 3 decades of medical experience as a GP, Premier Sports Physician, Occupational Physician, and advanced aesthetics practitioner. Today we are asking: What's fact, what's fiction and what do these so called "miracle injections" really mean for our bodies and minds?

Approximately 1 in 1000 women experience postpartum psychosis. It's a condition that remains largely hidden. rarely openly talked about and is veiled in silence and shame.
Joining host Jennie on this weeks episode is Sarah Berry-Valentine. She was that ONE out of 1000. Sarah bravely allows us in to her deeply personal experience with postpartum psychosis following the birth of her first child.
Sarah was recently featured in Glamour UK telling her story and has been candidly using her voice to raise awareness, offer hope and understanding, and advocate for better support for women. Her story is raw and powerful and SO needed in a world ( and a social media world filled with influencer mums) that often romanticise motherhood, whilst ignoring its most vulnerable moments.

On this weeks episode, we’re diving into a topic that’s been bubbling under the surface for a while now: more and more people, especially Millennials and Gen Z, are choosing to live alcohol-free. Whether it’s for mental health, physical health, or just a change in values, the sober-curious movement is reshaping how we connect, socialize… and yes, even how we date.
But here’s the thing, if dating already feels like a weird, vulnerable game, what happens when you remove alcohol from the equation? No cocktails to take the edge off. No “liquid courage.” Just you, your authentic self, and someone else doing the same.
Jennie is joined by someone who’s helping rewrite the rules - Helen Masters. She is the co-founder of SoberAF Dating - a platform and community designed to support meaningful connections without alcohol. She’s here to talk about why this shift is happening, what it means for modern dating, sober sex (and why it blows drunk sex out of the water!) and how we can all show up a little more real, one sober date at a time.

On this weeks episode, I'm turning up the volume on a topic that affects millions of women but is still too often misunderstood: perimenopause and menopause.
Joinng host Jennie is Dr. Louise Newson: GP, renowned menopause specialist, author, and leading advocate for changing the narrative around women’s health. Dr. Newson has been instrumental in transforming how we talk about, and treat, perimenopause and menopause.
In the UK, there are around 13 million women currently going through perimenopause or menopause. That’s roughly a third of the female population, yet countless women are still struggling to get the support, care, and facts they deserve.
In this episode, we dig into what perimenopause actually feels like, how symptoms like anxiety, brain fog, joint pain, and sleep disturbances are often misdiagnosed or dismissed, and why hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can be life-changing.
We also tackle one of the biggest myths out there: the supposed link between HRT and cancer. Spoiler alert, research now shows that for most women, HRT is not only safe, but it can significantly reduce long-term health risks like osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, mental health and more. Yet, fear and misinformation still hold too many women back.
This episode is a must-listen for anyone navigating midlife, going through or approaching perimenopause, supporting someone who is, or simply wanting to understand why women deserve better information, better care, and better conversations around menopause.
Let’s stop allowing misinformation and fear mongering stop us from getting the right information, learning about what our options and RIGHTS are and getting the medical/health care we deserve! It will SAVE LIVES and help families.

Trigger warning: child sexual abuse
*stats from Rape Crisis UK, National Crime Agency and IWF
The prevalence of child sexual abuse is far greater than any of us would like to believe or know. And with kids being given devices and internet access at such young ages now, the predators and paedophiles have easier and more frequent access to our kids. Whilst the very real risks of our kids being exploited online and sexully abused are high, there are things we can do and protective measures we can put in place as parents and teachers to safeguard and prepare our kids.
Joining host Jennie on todays episode is former child abuse detective Kristi McVee. Kristi is now a child abuse educator, author and the Founder of CAPE AU. She knows better than anyone what the realities are around child sexual abuse and its prevalence. Jennie and Kristi openly and candidly discuss the risks devices and internet access present to our kids, who the sexual predators/paedophiles are statistically, and what the indicators are that your child may be being groomed or already a victim of sexual abuse.
This is an episode that every parent and educator/teacher needs to listen to... our children's safety, physical and mental health, development and futures depend on us knowing more, and doing better.

The terms "toxic" and "Narcissist" have been used a lot recently...especially on social media. These terms are often misused and overused in describing ex-friends or ex-partners who have hurt you or exhibited really selfish or ego-centric behaviour.
But, when you have been in the clutches of a true Narcissist or broadline personality disordered person or anyone with a true clinical personality disorder...it's far worse than having your feelings hurt or not having your needs met.
To be truly abused by a personality disordered person, causes long term, deep rooted damage to the psyche, nervous system and mental health.
Joining host Jennie on todays episode is Dr. Sherrie. She is a licensed Psychologist, specialising in psychotherapy including marriage and family therapy, childhood trauma and personality, or as she describes it, character, disorders. Dr. Sherrie is also the author of several books including "Adult Survivors of Toxic Family Members". Jennie and Dr. Sherrie dive deep into the challenges and struggles of parallel parenting with a personality disordered ex, the long term damage a toxic parent has on a child and how to mitigate the risks of that damage. Dr Sherrie shares some tangible and applicable tips and tools on how to have the right conversations with your kids at the right time, and how to protect your own peace whilst maintaining a healthy relationship with your child.

The ADHD Foundation estimates that 50-75% of women in the UK with ADHD are undiagnosed.
Jessica Whalley knows this first hand. She lived with Autism and ADHD for 38 years before she was diagnosed. In todays episode, host Jennie speaks with Jessica, who is the author of 'The Autistic Mom' about her experience and journey with Autism and neuro diversity, as a Mom, but also as the parent of a non-verbal child with Autism. Jessica has recently released her powerful book 'The Autistic Mom', which sheds light on her deeply personal journey and also serves as a practical guide for parents and caregivers. Neurodiversity amongst children is definitely at the forefront of many conversations as of late. There are so many parents who are unsure of how to navigate an ADHD and/or Autism diagnosis...and there are also so many parents who are afraid to even begin to explore the possibility that their child may be on the neuro diversity or autism spectrum .
Jennie and Jessica do not shy away from talking about hard truths and controversial thoughts on ADHD and Autism... a much needed conversation in the current climate!

Trigger Warning: Child rape and sexual abuse/assault
According to the latest statistics provided by Rape Crisis UK, 1 in 6 children has been sexually abused.
This statistic is of course only representative of the cases of sexual abuse that have been reported. Unfortunately most cases go unreported.
Statistics indicate that 40% of adults who are raped will not report. And, unreported childhood cases of sexual abuse and rape are much higher, with statistics indicating that 72% of adults who experienced sexual abuse as a child, did NOT tell anyone or report it at the time of the abuse.
Child rape and sexual abuse is something that is far more common and prevalent than anyone would like to admit. But, we simply MUST start admitting it, talking about it, addressing it, not just with each other as adults, but having these hard conversations with our kids.... their futures depend on it.
Joining host Jennie on this weeks episode is Nathan Spiteri. He is an actor, writer and producer, and he is child sexual abuse survivor. He has bravely shared his story of child sexual abuse on Ted X and many other platforms, as well as in his memoire 'Toy Cars'.
Nathan is the much needed male voice around child rape and sexual abuse. Every time he shares his story and trauma, he is stepping in to be the voice for those (men and boys specifically) that haven't been able to find theirs...yet.

Feminism can be dated back to the 1800's...but we've been fighting for much longer. Whilst some movement has been made, we are by no means close to true equity, even in the most basic of terms. The irony now is that the world we live in today, a world created by men for men, no longer even works for the boys and men it was intended for! So, fellow men, it's your turn now. It's your turn to fight alongside women, in the trenches of gender inequality, violence, disenfranchisement, and bias, to change the socio-economic and political systems you created and founded on misogyny. Your active participation and voice is necessary in order to move our failing society and the systems, institutions and businesses within it, forward. It's time to dismantle and rebuild...together...as a collective. As equals.
Lee Chambers joins host Jennie on this weeks episode. Lee is the chief psychologist and founder of Essentialise and Male Allies UK. After a diverse career, from corporate finance to building a tech company, he is now focused on supporting organisations to engage men in inclusion, accelerate gender equity and promote effective allyship. He has been featured on the Startups 100 Index, has received a Great British Entrepreneur Award, and sits on the boards of CMI Women, Regenerage, and the Manchester Metropolitan University Business School.
He is a Kavli Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences in the USA - the first Black British scientist to be awarded in its 33-year history, received for his work on health inequalities. He was the UN Women Changemaker of the Year in 2023, and is an ambassador for the UK Government's Lilac Review for Disabled Entrepreneurship. Lee was recenetly listed as Forbes 2025 Changemaker to Watch. He speaks globally on allyship and intersectionality, having taken the stage at One Young World, ChangeNOW and the Bloomberg Global Equality Summit, and is the author of the book, Momentum: Reboot Your Career, Unlock Your Potential.
This is polarising, but fascinating topic to say the least! Lee and Jennie dive head first into a raw and open conversation about misogyny, raising boys to be better men and all of our collective responsibilities in dismantling and rebuilding our broken systems. This is a MUST LISTEN!

Trigger Warning: Infant/baby/child death
Grief is a complex emotion. It can be phased and a process, and can go on for years. For some, grief stays with them for a lifetime; popping in at random times, often throwing them off guard. Similarly, death is one of life's inevitabilities that most of us struggle to reconcile and fear more than anything else.
All of this is compounded when it's the death of your child and the grief and pain of losing that child overcomes your entire being...never leaving you...forever yearning to hold and see your child one last time.
Joining host Jennie on today's episode is Sabrina Boukhiba. She is a mother, and on 3rd November 2022, she lost her 6 month old son Idris. He died of a rare heart condition.
Sabrina very bravely shares her story; opening up about her journey with grief and loss, and all of the ways it has and will continue to impact her life. With the death of her child, Sabrina is now learning to live again.

*Trigger Warning: Addiction and Mental Health
Alcoholism and addiction continues to be the theme of the podcast this month.
We know alcohol is a drug. We know it's been classified as the most dangerous and damaging drug in the UK above heroine and crack cocaine. And, we know its' destroying lives and families at an alarming rate.
But, what many people don't know, is that there is a link between those who have ADHD and alcoholism/addiction .
According to Rehabs UK:
Research indicates that impulsive and reckless behaviour, as well as high novelty seeking traits, which are common symptoms of ADHD, are high risk factors for substance abuse. And 70% of young adults with both substance abuse issues and ADHD report that they use alcohol or substance as a means to self medicate; an attempt to switch off an over active brain or attempting to slow down racing thought processes. The links and correlation between ADHD and addiction is very much misunderstood and often over looked.
Joining host Jennie in today's episode is Harry Martin. Harry is diagnosed ADHD and has battled with addiction most of his life. Harry's experience with substance abuse started as young as 12 years old and carried on into adulthood. Now, in his 30's, Harry is living alcohol free. On this episode, he very honestly tells his story of how having ADHD has a direct correlation to his addiction issues. At the height of his addiction, Harry was homeless and living for his next drink or high. With the support of his mom and wife, and with the birth of his daughter, Harry is now on a path to sobriety. But, it is not without its daily challenges. This episode is raw and confronting. Harry holds nothing back. This is a must listen for anyone with ADHD or similar, battling addiction, and feeling like there's no way to quiet your mind. There is a path forward, and there is support available to you...you are NOT alone.
