The Autistic Mom: ADHD, Autism and Parenting with guest Jessica Whalley

The ADHD Foundation estimates that 50-75% of women in the UK with ADHD are undiagnosed.

Jessica Whalley knows this first hand. She lived with Autism and ADHD for 38 years before she was diagnosed. In todays episode, host Jennie speaks with Jessica, who is the author of 'The Autistic Mom' about her experience and journey with Autism and neuro diversity, as a Mom, but also as the parent of a non-verbal child with Autism. Jessica has recently released her powerful book 'The Autistic Mom', which sheds light on her deeply personal journey and also serves as a practical guide for parents and caregivers. Neurodiversity amongst children is definitely at the forefront of many conversations as of late. There are so many parents who are unsure of how to navigate an ADHD and/or Autism diagnosis...and there are also so many parents who are afraid to even begin to explore the possibility that their child may be on the neuro diversity or autism spectrum .

Jennie and Jessica do not shy away from talking about hard truths and controversial thoughts on ADHD and Autism... a much needed conversation in the current climate!
