The Singapore-Africa Conversation is the official podcast of the NTU-SBF Centre for African Studies, a practice-oriented think tank that conducts research, fosters networks, and builds capacity for doing business in Africa. Established in 2014 with an endowment from private sector donors and seed funding from the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), CAS is the only one of its kind in South-East Asia. The aim of this podcast is to try and unpack the economic transformation of Africa from an Asian point of view.

Climate finance opportunities in Africa
Africa contributes less than 4% to the global greenhouse gas emissions but is a continent worst impacted by climate change. The African Development Bank has promised to mobilise US$25bn billion in climate finance over the next three years. This is not going nearly enough for Africa to counter the risk of droughts, floods and desertification that threatens its future. For Africa to adequately finance the challenge of climate it will need attract private sector capital.
