This episode begins with an important Blue Mountains community announcement by Paramedic Christian Mortensen, that may be distressing for some listeners.
I am joined by Pat Blacker from Standby - Support Post Suicide, and Paramedic Christian Mortensen, to discuss a topic Pat and I had discussed during the week before the show. Basically, when we're not feeling 100%, what's the best thing to do? Admit that you're not feeling great and cancel family events, work, appointments, or turn up and "turn it up" while you're there?

“Say it in the living years”
Pat Blacker (Stand By) and I chat about the recent passing of my uncle David. I thought it’d be a good idea to have a chat around grief, loss and regulation of the process. I decided it’s a good idea to write to the people that matter to me most and say how I felt about them.
Enjoy

Police Legacy
Snr Cnst James Ghata joins Chief Insp Garry Sims and myself to raise awareness around Police Legacy.
James is a very generous, kind and determined man and is about to tackle the most brutal of walks and take on the Grose Valley Walk here in the Blue Mountains. There are no tracks, no signposts, with the country designated as wilderness.
James is raising funds for NSW Police Legacy, the charity that supports police and their families in times of need.
