Thiago interviews Nicholas Ng who is a 3rd-year medical student at the University of Ottawa who has adopted unorthodox study methods in order for him to cope with his immense workload and sky-rocket his productivity. He loves running (admittedly a little too much) and will often log more than 200km per week on his Strava account. He’s a strong believer in total body wellness, his Christian faith, and connecting with his community back home in Toronto. Despite being inundated with schoolwork, he still manages to find the time to work on several research projects simultaneously and serve on multiple school comities such as the Christian Medical and Dental Association, the Equity Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Taskforce, the Professionalism Committee, the Doctors of Ottawa Team as well as being a lead science editor for COVID-19 Central. Nick shares how important it is for people to be grounded in values such as Honesty, Responsibility, and Altruism.
Thiago and Nick talk about how they try to be productive in Medical school and for Nick exercise is a major part of it.
He runs 200 Kilometres every week, which is about 2 hr and 45min a day.
We talk about how to enjoy the process rather than just the end result and how that can change the way you study.
Nick also shares the 3 traits that he believes makes someone Unstoppable: Humble, Unique, Grounded in Values
