"Anna he purna brahman" - Food is Brahman

In Taittariya Upanishad, Bhrigu approached his father Varuna and asked him to teach about Brahman. His father replied “That from which these beings are born, That by which having taken birth they live, That into which they merge—seek to know That. That is Brahman.” After reflecting on this Bhrigu realised that “food is Brahman”; because from food, all beings are born; by food, when born they live and into food they merge after death. Thus, Bhrigu’s inquiry started from food. As his mind became subtle by austerities he discovered there is lot more to learn and ultimately He realised his own nature to be Brahman.

Thus a simple sadhana of remembering Lord’s name while taking food can take us from “Annam” to “Brahman”.

Lord Ganesha

Here comes Ganu baby!

What does the word Ganesha mean?

Gan means group. The universe is a group of atoms and different energies.

This universe would be in chaos if there was no supreme law governing these diverse groups of entities.

The Lord of all these groups of atoms and energies is Ganesha.
He is the supreme consciousness that pervades all and brings order in this universe.

Listen to my podcast to know all that lord Ganesha stands for.

How to find youself?

How to find yourself?

Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom – Aristotle.

The greatest and most important adventure of our lives is discovering who we really are. Yet, so many of us walk around either not really knowing or listening to an awful inner critic that gives us all the wrong ideas about ourselves. We mistakenly think of self-understanding as self-indulgence, and we carry on without asking the most important question we’ll ever ask: Who am I really? As Mary Oliver put it, “what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

Listen to my podcast to discover ways to discover you!

8 ways to honouring yourself

Honouring yourself.

For so many of us, honouring oneself is hard to do. It may feel foreign. Unnatural. It’s hard to accept all our parts. It’s hard to prioritise what’s important. It’s hard to treat ourselves with compassion and even more so, with love.

Listen to my podcast to find 8 ways to honour yourself.

Chronic Lateness

When people are chronically late, they are in essence saying that

> Their time is more important than yours or

>  They never really wanted to meet or speak to you and are dragging themselves throught it to make it or

> They could be unorganised or

> All of the above.

Listen to my podcast on Chronic lateness.

7 Chakra Visualisation

The entire universe is made of energy, and your body is no exception. The 7 chakras play an important role in the balance and health of our bodies.

Long before modern technology and science, ancient cultures knew that all living things carried a life force with them. They called the centers of energy that moved inside of us the 7 chakras.

So, what are the 7 chakras? And how do you experience them?

Come join me on this basic visualisation of these spinning tops as I call them.

Raise your standards

My note to all you beautiful goddesses and even the beautiful men out there who have to put up a façade to keep everyone happy, STEP UP!

You don’t need to please everyone! You don’t need a certificate from everyone!

You need to work on your self-limiting beliefs and ask hard core questions to self, as to why you put up with whatever you put up with. There’s no fooling yourself when you see yourself eye to eye and admit your little plots.

Now, there is something of humungous importance besides running your life in robot-like precision, it is your personal standards you set for yourself and for your life.

Personal standards are the way you set yourself up to be treated by others, by the way your treat yourself and others. Ahaaaaa!!!

Listen to your body

It is soooo sad to see everyone taking their body so lightly. Taking it for granted. Taking it for a ride on the road laid with pain and punishment.

WHY?

A simple virus with less than 1% mortality rate can create havoc in people’s lives? Why?

Our body is quite capable of repair and recovery, if only we trust it’s wisdom. Our body knows. Our body heals. Our body loves.

We are the ones who actively mess with it.

Listen on to hear the 3 ways in which we can tune into our body!

PIZ PIZ were the first words that came out of Picasso’s mouth!

Pursuing Purpose

PURSUING PURPOSE, such heavy words! Ever wondered, what if Charlie Chaplin had pursued a career as a mechanic in a neighborhood factory instead of planting smiles on billions of hearts?  What if our star Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar had chosen to become a CA in one of the Big 5s?  What if Mother Teresa had chosen to get married and tend to her little garden and her 2 kids?  It’s amazing to see how much success you will experience on this path in  little time. When you walk on the path that’s true to your nature, you will shine through your ass like an a diamond!  Listen in on what pursuing purpose feels like and what it definitely doesn't look like!  If no one told you today, I love you!

The Mangalacharanam - Invocation of the Supreme!

I say this little prayer every time I sit to study the Yoga sutras. It is my ritual before I begin the study of the scripture to allow the grace of the Supreme to guide me and empower me. It's my little way of expressing my deepest gratitude to that which can't be explained in words. It is my way of surrendering myself to that power, which is pure, divine and sacred. It is my way of connecting myself with me, becoming centred, plugging into my core and charging up with the learnings that await for me.

It's not just another ritual that people pray before they begin anything meaningful in their lives. It has a deep meaning to it. It is an invocation, a love letter to the universe asking permission to plug in play! Literally! oh yes!

And it is not a coincidence that you are listening to this prayer or reading about it! In life, there are no co-incidences.

Hope you enjoy listening to it as much I enjoy saying it and explaining it to you!
