In our first ever 'Meet the Manager Special", Freya sits down with Lincoln United Women's First Team Manager, Ricky Pledger, to talk all things "Whites" as they enter the fourth tier of women's football for the first time.
Ricky discusses his coaching experience in football so far and what lead him to recently take on this role. We also discuss the impact of preseason and the recent frustrating defeat to Notts County in their opening game. Additionally, Ricky's talked about his personal experience of the changes within the women's game over the past few years, his hopes and expectations for the season ahead and of course the importance of having a growing number fans in the stands to cheer the team on.
P.S. Listen until the end to hear which team and stadium Ricky would love to experience playing against too!
P.P.S. Freya realised she said "Dance of the Knights" rather than "March of the Knights" by Prokofiev for the Sunderland AFC walkout music... typical.
