Juan Camilo Poveda (@j1cpov) was born and raised in Colombia. Growing up in the Colombian context, from a young age he became aware of the critical social injustices that hinder many people's capability to attain social mobility. Since then, he participated in multiple leadership and service camps, serving youth and rural communities.
These experiences allowed him to discover his passion for service, being an agent of change and education. Since he immigrated to Canada he has worked with community organizations in the coordination of programs geared towards youth empowerment. He is committed to making transformative experiences, like the ones he has been able to access and have defined his life, accessible to everyone.
