Nicole Johnson is a Black mama, wife, attorney, entrepreneur, & proud double alumna of Howard University. For over a decade, she worked as a child & family therapist, & case manager to families experiencing homelessness. During the pandemic, she started homeschooling her preschooler while owning and managing a law firm, and managing other small family businesses. My grandmother didn't have it easy but, she paved the way for my family to have a better and easier shot at life than she did. From Brooklyn, NY to Santo Domingo, then back again, and finally to Florida. Here, she owned a dry cleaners for as long as I could remember and now she works in the clinic of a nearby elementary school. Part 2 is finally here! Brailey tells us about the birth of Jayse Anthony. An emotionally challenging time for her in navigating the death of her father and birth of her son all in 48 short hours. Elle gives us the 360 on Brailey in her birth story, with a (almost) water birth and no epidural.
