My grandmother didn't have it easy but, she paved the way for my family to have a better and easier shot at life than she did. From Brooklyn, NY to Santo Domingo, then back again, and finally to Florida. Here, she owned a dry cleaners for as long as I could remember and now she works in the clinic of a nearby elementary school. A woman who has worn ALL the hats.
The Real Young Mom Podcast is a weekly podcast for young parents to find community and conversations they can relate to. A place to get educated; to be seen and heard. Each episode offers a unique insight into how Elle sees the different aspects of young parenthood and what it can bring.
In this interview Elle and her grandmother discuss how one's upbringing and environment (good or bad) can influence their own parenting in the future, and how it can create a domino effect for generations to come until someone breaks the cycle.
