You are equipped to carry out your tasks, roles, and responsibilities, because you have mastered a system of achievement. This means that you are able to make a dream or vision a reality. How have you done this for the companies you've worked for or people in your personal life?
Who else has made a similar dream to yours a reality? What structures did they build to support their dreams? What networks did they tap into?

The fact that you no longer accept or desire the treatment, relationships, activities, or the pay that you did when you were at your previous level, does not make you a bad person! It doesn't mean that you think you're better than anyone else. It doesn't make you ungrateful. It just means that you have mastered the former level and you want more for yourself. It means that you are aligning your current level, life, and activities to get more.

If you tap into your various strengths, you will realise that you are literally a group of companies. Beyond your career, beyond what you studied, your strengths hold the key to your personal expansion.
Do not compare yourself to people whose gifts are already in practice, you want to get yours in practice so that you know exactly what you are like when you are operating at your highest level.

Missed deadlines, convoluted processes, disappointments from business partners, financial setbacks, government bureaucracy, broken promises, unsupportive HR, unethical bosses, shady colleagues, client ghosting, your ideas being ignored, a rough post-grad supervisor, your efforts being dismissed, a lack of endorsement, and system failures! YOU NAME IT, IF YOU'RE FACING IT. Anything you want to achieve is going to TEST YOU, even when you feel you don't have the strength to be tested! We all know that making a dream a reality or bringing your vision to fruition requires grit, discipline, endurance, and perseverance. But we also know that some days are downright dark, frustrating, foggy, and filled with self-doubt. I've found that it's important to take some time to regroup, recover, audit your skills and natural gifts, and take a realistic view of what (and who) you already have, and find ways to maximise them. Whatever you are facing today, be it your studies, career climb, community work, or entrepreneurship pursuits, I pray you find the inner strength and willpower to go against the current when natural disasters hit at the most inopportune times. We came to WIN. It's okay to pause and get it together, but don't stay down for too long. #PurposeTransformsEverything #SecureYourBag #Entrepreneurship #Resilence #ThereIsGoldOnTheOtherSideOfThis
"To build and sell a strong African brand will require a combination of business acumen, understanding and unpacking the anatomy of a brand, and then leaving our unique mark on it to make it distinctly and authentically African." Many thanks to BBC Africa's Money Daily for another opportunity to share our views on building African Brands.

Don't shame yourself for your inability to be positive all the time. This is NOT the only reason your life isn't working out the way you want it to! Positive thinking, visualisation, and affirmations are definitely things we should be doing daily, but what happens when your own mind is working against you because of emotional trauma? We downplay the fact that, many of us are (powerfully) manifesting from emotional wounds sustained in childhood and even in adulthood (toxic families, friendships, relationships, and even work environments). Painful events and memories you haven't healed from can create negative belief systems that literally shape your view of yourself, that's why you may find it difficult to keep up with motivational talks, self-help books, and all the personal development promises you make to yourself year in and year out. Rather than trying to suppress your emotions and replace them with affirmations, it's probably a better idea for you to deal with the root cause of the limiting, self-sabotaging beliefs, heal properly, AND THEN adopt healthy, positive thinking practices. So while the positive thinking movement does have its merits, perhaps some of us are engaging in it prematurely. If you've tried to be positive and simply cannot, it's probably a warning that something else is wrong and needs to be healed so that you can manifest positively in peace. Your mental and emotional health matter. What do you think?

One of the main reasons we don't get what we deserve is we don't even KNOW WHAT WE DESERVE! Understanding and quantifying your value can position you to negotiate terms and conditions commensurate with the value you bring to the table!

In this episode, we discuss the important role that standards and procedures play in ensuring product and service consistency. Augustino notes that it is important for MSMEs to avoid mixing the experimental phase of the business with the production unit of the business. The experimental phase should, therefore, not be a time to perfect and roll out your product or service.

Martha Nghinongelwa is a teacher, author, and Christian inspirational speaker based in Rehoboth, Namibia. She is also the author of Every Parent is a Prophet (available on Amazon). In her book, she unpacks childhood trauma with a specific focus on African family dynamics. Using the Biblical context, she explains how parents can literally speak blessings and curses into their children's lives, the results of which can resound throughout several generations. In this episode, we talk about some of the ways in which we affect the trajectories of our children's lives and shape them into adults who will continue these legacies.
