"Dystonia is a neurological hyperkinetic movement disorder in which sustained or repetitive muscle contractions result in twisting and repetitive movements or abnormal fixed postures. The movements may resemble a tremor."
Dystonia is not caused by stress or anxiety. There is very little awareness around Dystonia and there is no cure. Some patients are so disabled that they end up wheelchair-bound. Many Dystonia patients have social anxiety due to shame around the physical symptoms and some even have thoughts of suicide. The only current treatments are medications and Botox injections. Management therapies like physical therapy, massage, exercise, or counseling may slightly reduce symptoms in some patients, but not all. Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery is available only to approved Dystonia patients and reduces symptoms by 30-80% on average. Most Dystonia patients have tried numerous treatments without success and are left to suffer with the disabling effects.
You bring more awareness to Dystonia just by listening to this episode and we thank you for that.

We were told for years that eating six small meals a day would help our metabolism, blood sugar, and appetite; and that it would keep our brains alert and focused. What if snacking isn't actually the best option though? This episode discusses the negative effects of snacking on the gut-brain axis.

Electromagnetic fields include wireless radiation or radiofrequency radiation and are emitted from all wireless devices and even electrical appliance. These include cell phones, Wi-Fi routers, computers, television, power lines, household appliances, smart meters, cell phone towers and electrical outlets and lighting.
It's also good to note that the new 5G is up to 100 times stronger than 4G and we barely have any research on the safety of this new technology. Electromagnetic field protection is a very important piece of overall health and it's not a theory. It has been proven in various independent studies to be a danger to overall health.
Learn about EMF, what it does to the body, and how to protect yourself.

The liver is one of the hardest working organs in the body and people often forget about its role even in digestion. I see far too many people claiming that the liver detoxes itself, so it doesn't need any extra help. In a perfect world, that might be true, but today and especially in the USA, we introduce over 1500 new chemicals every year and the liver is not designed to take on this load. It's a phenomenal organ, but it definitely needs support in today's toxic world. Learn about the liver, signs of liver dysfunction, how to support the liver, and much more.
