Are you effective at setting goals for yourself? Can you answer that question based on where you currently are with your job? Your relationships? Your income? If you're not happy with the answers, then this podcast and this episode are perfect for you! In the last episode, we talked about personal development in the form of learning new things through reading or through auditory learning in order to pursue knowledge in areas we need. Areas to help improve our personal life and our professional life. Today's episode is along the same lines of personal development and how we can use setting and achieving goals as a way to get from where we are and to challenge ourselves to get to where we want to be.
As men, we should never settle. We cannot get complacent. Complacency will kill us. We always need to keep moving forward, assess our current situation, see where we need to improve, adapt, and overcome. We should always have a goal in mind out ahead of us that we work towards. Whether it's running a race, lifting a weight, getting hired, getting promoted, doing an activity with your family - it doesn't matter what it is. All that matters is that as a man, you're not settling and getting complacent in life. Work on that category of personal development through books, podcasts, setting goals, learning new things - learn and then apply in your life. It's the way to grow into the man that you want to be
We need to have a discipline in our lives in terms of our lifestyle being healthy and active. Whether that's eating to a specific diet plan or following a specific workout routine. We even need to be disciplined in our exercise in case we have to protect ourselves or our loved ones! But being disciplined in exercise takes work, consistency, determination, will power, and so much more. In this episode I help you throw away those excuses that have been preventing you from getting healthier with your lifestyle and give you encouragement and motivation to step up your discipline level in your exercise to be the best you.
It takes discipline to maintain a strong work ethic and attitude to accomplish whatever task you have to or to just simply provide for your family. Sometimes we have to work jobs that we aren't all that thrilled about. When we hit a certain age, we are still finding out what we're destined for or where we're supposed to work as a career. Other times in life, we find ourselves in the daily grind working the same job with the same responsibilities because it puts money in the bank and food on the table for ourselves and our family. However, in order to do those things, we must be disciplined in our work and with our attitudes. This podcast will be a good conversation between my friend Dan and I about the attitude and work ethic it takes to work jobs we do just to get by, and other jobs we do as potential career paths. Check it out, and thank you for your support!
