Do you feel like God has stopped listening to your prayers? Are you questioning why He would allow your child to struggle? Will you ever be able to trust God again? In this podcast, you will find solutions to restore your faith in God as a Christian mom raising an autistic or medically complex child. My mission is to equip you to be mighty in your faith through prayer, validation rooted in scripture, and reconnection with God. If you’re ready to believe and trust in God again with everything you’ve faced in motherhood, you’re in the right place. Hey, I’m Ash! Mom of two (one autistic with a rare disease), wife, and former Disney princess turned reverend. When my son was diagnosed with a rare disease at just seven months old, my faith was shaken in ways I never imagined. I prayed, begged, and pleaded with God, only to be met with silence. I felt like He had abandoned me when I needed Him the most. I finally realized that everything I thought I knew about prayer and God had been misguided. I opened my Bible, turned to scripture, became an ordained ministry coach, and discovered a simple framework that made prayer possible again, even in the hardest moments. And I’m ready to share it all with you. If you’re ready to feel refreshed in your faith, fully embrace the title Christian Autism Mom, and feel like God is your BFF (because He absolutely is), this podcast is for you. So fill up your water jug, open your heart, and let’s fill up your spirit together!

32 | How Persistent Prayer Builds Resilience for Christian Autism Moms
Have you ever prayed the same prayer for months, or years, and wondered if God was even listening? Are you struggling to trust God’s timing when your child’s progress feels painfully slow? Do you ever feel like persistence is pointless when you can’t see change? In this episode, we’re talking about one of the hardest and most essential parts of prayer: persistence. If you’re a mom raising an autistic or medically complex child, you already know that persistence isn’t optional, it’s survival. But spiritually, it’s also sacred. Ash shares how persisting in prayer became her lifeline during the early years of her son Max’s autism journey, when every decision felt impossible and every piece of advice contradicted the last. Through Luke 18, Galatians 6:9, and Romans 12:12, we see how Jesus calls us to keep praying... not because God forgets, but because persistence transforms us. You’ll also hear how science backs this up through neuroplasticity, showing that endurance literally rewires our brains to be more resilient. This episode is for the mom who’s exhausted, the one who’s prayed until she’s out of words, the one who’s still whispering “God, please help.” You’ll walk away reminded that persistence isn’t a sign of weak faith, it’s the heartbeat of faith. Do you ever struggle to thank God when life feels anything but good? Wonder on Earth you could “give thanks in all circumstances,” even in heartbreak? Want to discover how gratitude could bring you peace instead of pressure? In this episode, I’m sharing how God designed gratitude to heal your heart, literally and spiritually. We’ll explore the neuroscience behind reflective prayer and why giving thanks can rewire your brain toward peace. 30 | God, What Should I Do? How to Pray With Intention for Christian Moms Raising Autistic or Medically Complex Kids
Ever felt paralyzed by a big decision for your child... like every option feels wrong? Have you prayed for clarity but felt like heaven went silent? Do you wish you could actually hear God’s guidance in the middle of chaos and medical overwhelm? In this episode, I’m sharing how to practice focused and intentional prayer when you’re a Christian autism mom making impossible decisions for your child. You’ll learn how to pray for clarity without pressure, how to notice God’s nudges in your daily life (yes, even through TV shows and ordinary moments), and how to build a rhythm of prayer that brings calm in the storm. I share two deeply personal stories: one about deciding whether to move forward with a clinical trial for my son’s rare disease, and another about trusting God to make the right call for therapy. Through both, I learned that intentional prayer isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence. By the end, you’ll walk away with practical ways to invite God into your decision-making and confidence to move forward in faith, even when the path ahead feels foggy. ⚠️ Important Note *This is not advice for your specific situation, only a personal reflection on what worked for my family. 23 | How Can I Be an Ally to Parents of Kids with Disabilities? | Why Advocacy Matters

* This podcast is evolving to focus on faith, prayer, and hope for moms raising autistic or medically complex children. Episodes from our earlier parenting-focused series are still here to help, but you’ll now find guidance rooted in Christian faith and prayer.*

Parenting a child with a disability, autism, or rare disease is not something families can do alone, and they shouldn’t have to. Parents often become full-time advocates on top of caregiving, but exhaustion, medical emergencies, and endless appointments mean they can’t always be in the room. That’s where allies come in.

In this episode of Be Mighty Mom, we explore what it really means to be an ally to parents of kids with disabilities and why advocacy matters more than ever. Whether you’re a friend, relative, teacher, church member, or community leader, you can make a real difference by showing up, speaking up, and carrying these kids’ stories forward.

Here’s what you’ll learn in this episode:

Why families need allies when navigating schools, hospitals, and systems

How advocacy improves outcomes for children with autism, rare diseases, and medical complexity

Real examples of allyship—from attending IEP meetings to explaining sensory needs at church or parties

Disability rights history, including how parents and allies helped change federal law for medically complex kids

Five practical steps to being an ally today—listen, learn, show up, speak up, and keep learning

This episode is both an invitation and a challenge: you don’t need to be a parent to make a lasting impact. Every child deserves dignity and understanding, and every parent deserves a community that helps carry the load.

✨ Join the Mighty CommunityWant to keep these conversations going and be part of a movement that supports parents and kids with disabilities? The Be Mighty Mom Podcast: Restoring Faith in God for Christian Autism Moms
