What is the #motherwound? This week Jay and Nicola explore their experience around their wounded feminine, how they’ve grown and learnt from it. This episode doesn't seek to blame Mothers, or Parents, but the concept itself which can be carried through blood lines intergenerationally. How much of our Mother's Mother's Mother's Mother's coping mechanisms have been passed down to the present day? This is especially important if you're from a community that has experienced oppression in your bloodline.  

 What does it mean to accept your parents as human beings who are also learning how to navigate Earth? Can we look back at our familial traumas whilst moving forward and growing with our own personal stories? Can we escape the past traumas associated with Womanhood?  The Kybalion states that Gender is in all things, which means every human is made of a balance of both. Did you spend this weekend marking Imbolc, or the Feast of Maman Brigitte?  This time of year marks an equal point between winter Solstice and Spring Equinox, where we start to see a turn in the seasons. This is where the death and cold of winter begins to subside and the newness of rebirth begins.  In Haiti, and New Orleans Vodou, the Feast of Maman Brigitte marks the start of this transition bringing awareness that energy is moving. In the British Isles, Imbolc is a Pagan holiday once again, observing this precious energy.
