Mermaid colored metal straws, that depressing turtle video, and misconceptions surrounding the idea of living sustainably- Finally got my first guest on the pod! My best friend Gel talks about her discovery of sustainable living and how the whole movement for #ZeroWaste can start in the little things. She also talks about how minimalism and conscientious consumption is the real core of sustainable living. Understanding that wastefulness is the main thing we need to tackle, it's easier to make decisions that are sustainable. Check out some of her favorite initiatives below:

Growing up, I've always been aware of the differences between the path that I'm taking versus the paths that my peers are going through. Armed with just the hopes and dreams of my doting lower-middle class parents, I braved the world of private school kids, exclusive circles, and generational wealth. I wanted to talk about how that has affected me over the years and how it changed my perspective on money now that I'm earning and making it for myself and just how screwed up capitalism is in general.
