Ali fled Iraq to Turkey at age 17 after witnessing the murder of his father . He knew that he wanted more from his life even at a young age . Although he couldn't quite verbalize it at the time he knew he was different. It wasn't until he left Iraq that he discovered his sexual identity and began to be relentless in his pursuit of more from life . He spent two years as a minor in Turkey while learning English and Turkish before relocating to the states and starting a new life for himself. Chris Parnell is celebrity trainer and founder of The Parnell Plan . Chris spent most of his adult life navigating the fitness in NYC as a top trainer at Elite Health Clubs and Boutique gyms . He constantly sought was to reinvent himself and challenge what he knew to be true about fitness . After reaching a new pinnacle as an amateur Natural Bodybuilding athlete and having his first son he found himself laid up in the hospital after surviving a stroke. Chris's story of Taking The Hills is about creating a version of yourself that refuses to quit and refuses to give up .
Mariana struggled her whole life with the pursuit of her own vision and fulfilling the expectations of others . Whether it was the expectations of her family or her partner. In her toughest moments she would lean on her love for running but in other moments her outlet was smoking . At times it was both .
Smoking was something she hid from the outside world . It didn't match up to their expectations . But even that would change when she moved back to New York for a second time setting a firm flag in the ground for chasing and realizing her own dreams.
