But in the middle of a rare Louisiana snowstorm, something shifted... a nap, a quiet moment, and a flood of unexpected love that changed everything.

Crystal talks about how God's love for us, and our children, is so much bigger than we can comprehend, how that truth has anchored her through early motherhood, and why grace matters most when guilt speaks loudest.

The Refining Began in a Hospital Bed: My Postpartum Paralysis Journey & Blood Clot Diagnosis

In this first episode of Strong as a Mother, I’m sharing the story I never expected to have written in my book.

What should’ve been a joyful postpartum season turned into chaos, medical confusion, nerve damage that left me unable to move just hours after giving birth, a newborn + a walker, and a blood clot I not-so-fondly name Steve. In the middle of it all, I heard God say clearly: “I’ve got you. There’s a bigger plan in place here.”

This is where my refining began: not in the beautiful moments, but in the broken ones.

If you’ve ever found yourself asking, “Why now? Why me? Where is God in this?” I hope my story reminds you that you are not alone…and that God never wastes our pain.

✨ Welcome to Strong as a Mother.
