“The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8 ESV)
Today, we consider the mystery of the Holy Spirit’s work in the life of the Christian, with the relation to regeneration; and by extension our adoption as sons and daughters into the kingdom of Christ.

Chapter 2.1 of the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689) tells us; “The Lord our God is but ‘one only living and true God; whose subsistence is in and of himself, infinite in being and perfection; whose essence cannot be comprehended by any but himself; “a most pure spirit, invisible, without body, parts, or passions…”This term ‘passions’ does not mean the Lord is emotionless; but rather, that He is unmoved by external forces to change his mind. Today, with the help of Dr. Samuel Renihan, we seek to articulate an often neglected concept, the Doctrine of ‘Divine Impassibility’. Through the redemption purchased by Christ on the cross, God’s elect are made partakers in his triumph over the grave. This is not a result of our own works, for even our best day it is not sufficient to justify us. Only because of the finished of Jesus is this made possible. Join us as we explore this dichotomy in today’s episode.

Hebrews 2:7-8 (ESV) - speaking of Christ, the scripture reminds us; “You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor, putting everything in subjection under his feet.” Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him.”
Looking to the finished work on the cross, Jesus has accomplished our redemption, all the while, we wait for the culmination of his kingdom, at the end of the age.
Today we examine and attempt to answer the larger question; ‘In what does Christ’s exaltation consist?’.

In a world full of chaos, it can often feel like a pithy statement, to express that Christ is ruling and reigning. However, simply because we cannot see the end of the story of time, doesn’t mean that things are not being set right as it is ordained to be.
Today’s conversation, we trust, will serve as a reminder to anxious hearts, that Jesus is ruling and reigning right now, and forever.

Moses, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, said in Deuteronomy 18:15; “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen—”.
While the statement in its fullest expression was not grasped at that moment, a foreshadow gave way to the substance when Christ appeared.
Today, we consider how Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of the prophetic office.

The Bible speaks with absolute clarity on matters of Faith and Doctrine pertaining to the Christian life. Simultaneously, grasping the full understanding of the “hypostatic union” can be challenging for many Christians, even equipped with the scriptures in hand. Our hope is that today’s discussion, will be an aid to think rightly and precisely about how Christ, being the Son of God, became man.
