This is a special episode, and the first one of a mini series of 3 episodes, following Rebecca Devereux on her way towards OCC at the end of Summer in Chamonix. I love the way she shares her running and training journey on instagram, and I was so excited when she said yes to create this series of episodes together. In the first episode we focus on her why behind taking part in this iconic race, the motivation and what has been instrumental in her running journey.

I’m so excited to share a special episode of She Trails Podcast with you today! This year marked the first London 100 event— an ultramarathon designed to help runners experience different sides of the city: hidden trails and famous landmarks. Runners could choose between 25km, 50km, or the full 100km challenge. It was great to chat with people on the day, and I share three longer interviews with runners and a photographer, Silvia Zedda, Eleanor Corker and Zoe Salt.
Hope you enjoy the episode,

Thrilled to welcome Stephanie Case to the podcast today - a humanitarian lawyer, ultra-runner, and a mum! You might have recently seen her story making waves after she won the Ultra Trail Snowdonia 100km not only starting from wave 3, but also breastfeeding her daughter during the race which was so cool. In this episode, we talk about that powerful moment, her first race since becoming a mum, and everything it taught her. But Stephanie’s journey goes far beyond this win, and it was an awesome opportunity to talk about much more of her story too, from racing epic events such as Tor des Glaciers, her journey to pregnancy, to her work advocating for women in sport, and using her platform to inspire, support and make space for others. So happy to welcome today’s guest Ida Nilsson to the podcast. She grew up in a family of athletes, where movement and sport were part of life, and fun. From a young age, she embraced track, cross country, and athletics as a career—until an injury forced her to pause and consider different paths. Eventually, the call to move fast came back—and at 35, she stepped into trail running. Ida has since run—and won—some of the most demanding trail races out there, recently placing 6th at the iconic 100-mile Western States, and taking first place at this year’s TransGrancanaria 82km after a thrilling women’s race. We discuss this latest experience, the evolution of competition and her relationship with it, and what she is looking forward to next.
We also talk about what keeps her grounded and motivated, as well as her work with Moon Valley, the company she co-founded.
This is a story of resilience, and reconnecting with freedom through the trails. Hope you enjoy the episode!
