Show notes to follow in the coming days. Thanks for your patience.
I'll be honest, I've had a mare this month with everything tech related. There must be something going on with the planets.
So I'm very pleased and relieved to be able to deliver the episode for your listening, without show notes for now, but at least it's still released in time with the New Moon. Yaaaay!
Done is better than perfect.
With the diet industry worth billions, and growing year on year, how well are the various regimes and products serving people and their long-term physical and mental well-being?
In this episode I’m joined by Caroline Tyrwhitt, NLP trainerand author of the ‘Mindset Diet’, to discuss an alternative to yo-yo dieting, and how Neuro Linguistic Programming techniques make it possible to lose weight withoutgoing on a diet.
Caroline shared, “A lot of the times we are eating with our minds and not with our body because there is so much in our environment that triggers us to make us think we are hungry…
…Once we become aware what is working on a subconsciouslevel for us then we can do something different.”
SHOW NOTES – for your easy reference after listening:
Be compassionate and curious when observing ourselves and never judgemental.
Q. What’s your food story?
If we can know our own food story, we can look at how andwhere it impacts us. We can change it if we want to change it.
Once we are aware we have a story, we can ask ourselves..
Q. Is it serving me well?
Q. What would I like to change it to?
It’s our thoughts, beliefs and values that drive everythingwe do in life.
We can reframe our food story to align with our values, forexample if you like being creative you could be creative through cooking.
Instead of a deprivation approach, ask…
Q. What can I add into my diet to enhance my health?
Be aware of colours and smells or other sensory triggers inyour environment.
Q. What are the triggers to you in your environment (home, work, supermarket, high street etc)?
Q. What could your strategies be to avoid the environmentaltriggers you are aware of?
The people we surround ourselves with and habits.
Q. How do I behave when I’m around certain people?
Q. How do I feel when I’m around them?
Q. How can you connect less with the people who make youfeel less good about yourself, or people who have you indulge in habits you rather not do?
Q. How can you connect more with people who feed what you want to feel, and the habits you want to have?
Tip mentioned - “maybe later” approach.

Special thanks to fellow podcaster Sara Burton, host of 'Start Over and Rise', who pulled me out of a dark hole of despair with the tech challenges encountered with this episode.
This bonus episode is an exception to the regular episodes which feature guests. Being invisible is more in Sheryl’s comfort zone, so here you can find out what’s driven Sheryl to create this podcast despite the fear and discomfort.
Sheryl shares a simple self-coaching exercise which you can come back to when convenient for you.
As well as a brief client story, and extract from her own story that led to the work she does now to support people in creating a life that lights them up.
SHOW NOTES
Self-coaching exercise at 8 mins 30.
Pause the podcast as required to give time to reflect and write. Give yourself at least 10-15 mins thinking space to go through the exercise.

What's your Womb story? And what even is a ‘womb story’???
This is relevant to all women, not just those who’ve had a baby or pregnant. We all have a womb story it and it can even start whilst we are in the womb.
Clare Curtis, energy worker and author, shares her findings of how disconnected we are from our wombs and what it means to be a woman, as well understanding the energy of our womb space, so we can live as optimally as possible with the energy we hold.
We talk about working with the variations in energy during a cycle affecting the next cycle, and how tuning into our bodies can help prevent burnout, as well as impact our experience during the menopause.
Whatever stage we’re at there’s no better time than now to tune back into ourselves and listen to what our body is telling us.
Clare explains how we can rewrite our womb story and highlights some of the many options people have should they need support in their healing journey.
Clare gently invites you to reflect on:
Q. How do you feel as a woman?
Q. Are there key moments in life that have shaped how you feel around what a woman should be like?
Q. Does it feel authentic to you? If it doesn’t, how have you moulded yourself around these experiences, and how are these ways no longer serving you?
Future podcast episode idea – would this be useful to you?
